Booking the tour was straightforward and hassle-free. When you arrive at the ferry terminal, just show your ticket to the crew. After landing on Rottnest Island, you can pick up your hired bike at the terminal by just telling them your name. This way, you skip the long lines and the hassle of renting a bike at the shop. Cycling around Rottnest Island is a fantastic and wholesome way to discover the island’s stunning scenery, as you can pause anywhere you like, and the roads are very bike-friendly. Plus, it’s a real treat to spot the adorable quokkas! Although the weather wasn’t the sunniest, it still made for an enjoyable ride without breaking a sweat.
Convenient to use, exchange the bike tag at the counter before boarding the boat, and you can get the bike when you get off the boat! The bikes are of good quality and it is no problem to cycle half of the island, and the quokka is very cute!
You need to get your bike rental wristband at the pier before boarding the ferry! Otherwise, you'll have to pay extra to rent a bike on the island! The island is absolutely beautiful, a must-visit in Western Australia!!!
When I thought of Perth, I thought of Quokkas, so I was looking to book a ferry without hesitation, and that's when I found this tour with cycling included, so I decided on this one! There were a few spots where you could rent bicycles when you arrived on the island, but for me, who is not confident in English, it was good to book it as a set. When I got off the ferry, I just showed the cycling rental band, told them my name, and I was able to rent a bicycle! There were about three courses on the island itself, and I chose the intermediate one. The ups and downs were gentle, so it was easy to take breaks at the scenic spots along the way!!
beautiful island. definitely get bikes to ride around
The ferry to Rottnest Island is smooth and not bumpy. For someone with motion sickness history, it was a pleasant journey to and fro. We also encounter humpback whale breaching a few km away from our ferry. On the island, the bike was a little hard to cycle due to the multiple up and down slopes on Rottnest. It was quite tiring. However, the view was really scenic and we encounter wild quokkas along the way :)
The reception area was a bit difficult to find, but I managed to exchange my voucher. The boat was very shaky, and many people were seasick, so they had barf bags available at every seat. I recommend sitting on the first floor if you're worried about motion sickness, as it's less shaky. As soon as I arrived on the island, I picked up my bicycle and enjoyed cycling around. It was a wonderful experience.
wonderful day in rottnest island. staff from sealink also very helpful. Two people in our group missed the ferry, they were very helpful on rescheduling their trip.
A bike tour is a wonderfully free and easy way to explore the entire island. The squirrels on the island are also adorable, and the weather was perfect. What an unforgettable day!
The boat ride was great, and the staff were very friendly. Renting bicycles was also excellent; they were easy to carry and quick to use, allowing for smooth, safe, and reliable access. It's truly a high-quality service, and it's wonderful to experience such an appealing way of operating. Thank you for your affirmation of our service.
