Pantheon

The Pantheon, an architectural marvel of ancient Rome, was originally a temple dedicated to all the gods. Its iconic dome, featuring five rings of sunken panels, is illuminated by the oculus, the only natural source of light. Built by Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa and later rebuilt, the present building was consecrated by Pope Boniface IV as Santa Maria ad Martyres, transforming it into a church. This monument blends Greek and Roman architecture with a grand portico, a Greek pediment, and a sophisticated drainage system. Inside, circles and squares form a unifying theme, highlighting the tombs of kings and Renaissance artist Raphael. The Pantheon remains one of the most beautifully preserved relics in Italy, offering a glimpse into Roman expertise. Whether exploring its interior design, admiring the friezes, or experiencing a religious service, this basilica continues to captivate visitors worldwide.

Catacombe di San Callisto

The Catacombe di San Callisto, also known as the Catacombs of St. Callixtus in Rome, is the ancient underground cemetery that was the official burial place for the early Christian community in the third century. Around half a million Christians, including martyrs and 16 popes like Pope Damasus, found their final resting place here. The catacombs are named after Deacon St. Callixtus, whom Pope Zephyrinus put in charge of managing the cemetery in the early third century. Extending nearly 20 kilometers long and 20 meters deep with four levels, covering about 37 hectares, these Roman catacombs are a significant part of Rome's early Christian history. Back then, Christians in Rome struggled to find proper burial grounds. They either had to bury their loved ones in Pagan cemeteries or on private land. To solve this, with the help of volunteers and donations, they started building the Catacombs of St. Callixtus, gradually expanding the official cemetery over time. Explore this sacred site, where the history of the early Christian faith comes alive. Check out these tours and discover the stories of these Roman martyrs and the legacy they left behind in the Eternal City during early Christian Rome.

Trastevere food tour is a must when you are in Rome. Love everything about this tour starting with our fun & enthusiastic guide Smit. My favorites are the porchetta, amatriciana, pizza & gelato. The wine is also good. We also get to see a historic wine cellar of a restaurant. I highly recommend this tour.

Easy and hassle free booking through KLOOK. Just be at the meeting point before the scheduled time. The trip is very interesting and worthy even though it is a long ways on the bus. But, we enjoyed walking through the amazing Pompeii archeological site and later enjoyed nice view of the city of Sorento.

Fantastic 5.0
A visit to Rome can never be complete without stopping by at the Roman colosseum, Roman forum and the Palatine hill. Not only an engineering marvel, it's rich in culture. The trip would take about 3 hours and our guide was passionately explaining the history and culture behind all the buildings. I find the lesser known Roman forum and Palatine Hill a slightly better place to spend time and gawk at all the wonders that is Rome.

I’d wanted to do the underground tour for a long time and this holiday I finally did . Our tour Guide Margarita was excellent , clear and extremely professional. this is my third time visiting the Coliseum but I had never learned so much as with your tour . . I have to mention her style involves walking backwards as she keeps eye contact with the group as possible . that’s amazing 3 hour effort !

Fantastic 5.0
This was one of the best tours I have experienced in Vatican City. Unfortunately, the tour guide was not present; they provided the tickets via SMS. We had to use the tickets and navigate ourselves. For St. Peter's Basilica, we were not allowed to use the skip-the-line tickets because the guide was absent, so we had to wait. Overall, it was a good experience, though I believe they might need to improve their service. Otherwise, everything was good.
