Things to do in Chengdu

We had a fantastic experience on this Bipenggou day tour. The scenery was breathtaking, especially the frozen waterfalls and snow. I travelled with a senior citizen, and our guide was very professional, helpful, and patient throughout the trip. Even with a language barrier, we communicated smoothly using an AI translation app. Everything was well organized and comfortable. Highly recommended!

First of all, Jiuzhaigou is truly beautiful and worth visiting. This trip was fulfilling and enjoyable. Secondly, the itinerary was arranged very reasonably, taking many aspects into consideration and providing us travelers with the opportunity to fully understand the customs and culture of the Tibetan region within a limited time. The driver was very enthusiastic and patient with the passengers, explaining the customs and habits of the Tibetan people along the way, so we wouldn't feel bored. Overall, this was a very rewarding trip.

10/10 experience, would highly recommend. As a foreigner, I was slightly uneasy at first because the van that picked me up from the hotel to transfer me to the main tour bus felt quite basic and a little unsettling, which affected my initial sense of comfort. That said, once I arrived at the main tour bus, I was immediately reassured—it was spacious, professional, and well-organized, which set the tone for the rest of the journey. The visits to the Leshan Giant Buddha and Mount Emei’s Golden Summit were truly memorable, and the entire experience was absolutely worth it. I would also like to sincerely thank our local guide, 小龙, who did an excellent job throughout the tour. She was professional, friendly, and soft-spoken, with a deep understanding of the history, culture, and locations we visited. Her clear explanations, thoughtful guidance, and calm navigation made the trip smooth and enjoyable from start to finish.

The 2D1N JiuZhaiGou tour package was excellent. The PIC contacted me through WeChat after the booking, and informed the necessary tour information the afternoon before. Instructions were very clear for the train journey from 成都东 to 黄龙九寨. We then met with our tour guide, Ms. 黄金花 once we reached 黄龙九寨 station. She was an excellent tour guide, providing organised and detailed information for both 黄龙 and 九寨沟 location. She was also very attentive and caring, consistently checking up on us and providing reminders throughout both locations as it was free and easy arrangement in these areas. The itinerary and additional expenses not included for the tour were accurate as described on Klook.

Saw the pandas up close and the park wasn't overly crowded. Our driver/guide showed us around Dujiangyan, sharing the history of the place. He was patient and flexible throughout the trip. we enjoyed the experience although there was quite a bit of walking.

This lunch at Hong Ding Yan was the highlight of our Chengdu trip! Celebrating Chinese New Year here was truly unforgettable. The hotpot was outstanding—fresh ingredients, rich and flavorful broth, and authentic Sichuan taste that left us wanting more. The wonderful cultural performance added a strong festive atmosphere, making the whole experience both fun and immersive. The staff were warm and attentive, making us feel right at home. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Chengdu—a perfect combination of delicious food, rich culture, and unforgettable memories!

A good decision to purchase the panda research entry tickers via Klook so u need not go there to queue and buy. Klook will WhatsApp you to check which timing you like to visit, recommended to take the morning 8am slot. Because at 10am, a lot of crowd came and it’s so freaking packed and crowded (especially at the red panda area was difficult to move) the staff will check in via passport to allow your entry. Inside the park there is many food choices available and Macdonalds too. Toilets are available around the park. Please purchase the shuttle bus ride 30 yuan as it will bring you to different drop off point to see the Panda and also send you back to the exit point. What’s my take on the Panda Research Centre visit? - Basically we pay money to come here and watch different Pandas eating breakfast in different positions. HAHAHA. True story.

Easily the most magical experience of my trip to China! No crowds, a beautiful natural valley, and up-close views of happy, active giant pandas. Way better than the city base, I can’t recommend it enough.

Highly recommend Dujiangyan! This 2,000-year-old hydraulic wonder still nourishes the Land of Abundance today. The ancient engineering genius is incredible, the mountain and river scenery is stunning, and it’s a total must-see spot in Sichuan!
