Most Instagram-worthy Places in Busan, South Korea

Whether you are looking for an art and culture immersion, here on a foodie trail or simply in search of adventure - bustling Busan is a city that truly has it all.
With spectacular attractions like the colourful Gamcheon Culture Village, largest seafood market in South Korea, Jagalchi Market, colourful unique Haeundae Beach Train or Sky Capsule and more - here are some of the best spots for gorgeous photos!

    1. Gamcheon Cultural Village

    Gamcheon Cultural Village
Also known as the ‘Machu Picchu of Busan,’ the Gamcheon Cultural Village is a colourful town with walls that are decorated with hand-painted murals done by the residents themselves, and cute corners adorned with flowers (usually cafes or little shops selling trinkets or souvenirs). Don't forget the Little Prince statue (it's so famous that you have to queue for a photo!).
Take some time to explore the entire village and just enjoy the culture and surroundings, everywhere is Instagram-worthy!
    📍200 Gamnae 1(il)-ro, Saha-gu, Busan, South Korea

    2. Museum 1 (Museum DAH)

Art lover or not, Museum 1 is a must-do on your Busan Instagram trail! This media art gallery has a fascinating mix of interactive installations, thought-provoking art pieces and photo-worthy exhibits all housed under one roof.
Spend your afternoon exploring various galleries that invite you to take a closer look into the artist’s POV, chill out at one of the many lounges filled with bean bags or just sit back in a corner and enjoy the dynamic and vibrant media art displays in its full glory.
    📍20 Centumseo-ro, Haeundae-gu, Busan, South Korea
    ⏱️Daily, 10am to 7pm (Closes at 8pm on weekends)

    3. Haeundae Blue Line Park Train and Capsule

Haeundae Blue Line Park Train and Capsule
Besides frolicking in the sea and enjoying the sun, the Haeundae Beach area also boasts two very unique attractions which are the Haeundae Beach Train and Haeundae Sky Capsule
These are fun and ways to explore the coastline without walking. Make sure to book your tickets early though, the sky capsule tickets get sold out extremely quickly!

    4. Songdo Beach

A man-made beach, the Songdo Beach has been around since 1930. The best way to enjoy the coastal scenery? On the glass-bottom Songdo Skywalk, where you can walk over water and shoot postcard-quality pics of the lighthouse!
    📍 129-4 Amnam-dong, Seo-gu, Busan, South Korea

    5. Busan Citizen Park

If you are looking for a tranquil nature spot to unwind and have a picnic, Busan Citizen Park is just the place. Perfect for nature lovers, breathe in the fresh air and enjoy a slow afternoon stroll to enjoy the flora and fauna.
The park is extra Instagram-worthy during spring or autumn, where you can enjoy beautiful cherry blossoms or orange-gold autumn leaves depending on the season!
    📍 73 Simingongwon-ro, Beomjeon-dong, Busanjin-gu, Busan, South Korea

    6. Haedong Yonggungsa Temple

This temple is a rare find - temples in Korea are usually found up in the mountains, but the Haedong Yonggungsa is located by the coast instead. In fact, it is the only seaside Buddhist temple in South Korea and truly one of the most picturesque as well, with its colourful grand facade against the rugged, rocky coastline and sparkling sea.
Another special thing about this temple? It’s said that if you offer sincere, heartfelt prayers, at least one of your wishes will be fulfilled ✨
    📍86 Yonggung-gil, Gijang-gun, Busan, South Korea

    7. Dongbaek Island

    The Bay 101 Busan
Dongbaek Island is a marvellous vantage point for coastal views of Haeundae Beach and its surrounds. Come spring, this place is also perfect to spot camellia blossoms! It's also where you will find the iconic mermaid statue. Legend has it that the mermaid is Princess Hwangok who travelled across the sea to marry King Eunhye. Princess Hwangok suffered from homesickness and used to comfort her sorrows by looking into a piece of topaz where her fatherland was reflected during each full moon.
Explore Donbaek Island's surrounds by night on a photography tour, that will take you to Hocheon Village, Hwangryeongsan Mountain, Gwangalli Beach and The Bay 101. You'll get to learn more about the city as well as have gorgeous pics snapped by your professional local tour guide!

    8. Cabinet de Poisson

    cabinet de poisson 2
Situated in the swanky Ananti Cove, a luxury seaside resort in Busan, Cabinet de Poisson is a hidden gem that even the locals don’t know about!
Indulge in afternoon tea at the sprawling cafe with a gorgeous sea view before stepping into the media gallery that brims with digital media and light installations, perfect for more #ootds (think Japan’s teamLab vibes). There’s also the ocean-front bookstore and cafes to wander around and explore too!
    📍268-31 Gijanghaean-ro, Gijang-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan, South Korea

    9. Poo Poo Land

    Poo Poo Land Busan
Have a good laugh as you take fun photos at South Korea’s first poop-inspired theme park, Poo Poo Land.
Try their fun activities like the Dynamic Digestive Maze where you can pretend to be food in someone’s digestive tract. Of course, photo zones are made extra fun here so get your phones ready!

    BONUS: Lotte World Adventure Busan

    Lotte World Adventure Busan
For a fun afternoon out, head to Lotte World Adventure Busan, which just opened in April 2022!
Expect six themed zones with rides for all ages. While there are dedicated kid zones, there’s also a few thrilling rides perfect for the adrenaline junkie such as the Giant Dagger which is a roller coaster with multiple loops and turns (my personal favourite) and the Giant Swing (sort of like the pirate ship ride on steroids).
There’s of course the theme park quintessential parade at 2pm every day - don’t miss it!
#KlookTip: Don’t miss out on getting your hands on some Lotte World merch and the gift shop, get them when you first enter the park, they make for a cute photo prop throughout the day!
