Reviews summaryHad an amazing river rafting experience! The guide was incredibly helpful, friendly, and full of positive energy, which made the whole trip even more enjoyable. Safety instructions were clear, and we always felt well taken care of, while still having lots of fun along the way. Plenty of laughs, great teamwork, and unforgettable moments on the river. Highly recommend this rafting activity, especially thanks to such a fantastic guide! After the rafting, we were treated to a complimentary local Balinese buffet lunch, which was a wonderful addition. The food was really good — fresh, flavorful, and a great way to relax and refuel after the adventure. It added a lovely local touch and rounded off the whole experience perfectly.
If you're traveling to Bali, I highly recommend participating in this white water rafting activity. Once you book, the activity staff will contact you via WhatsApp to arrange pick-up from your hotel. Before the activity, you'll walk down a staircase for about 20 minutes, and then the rafting begins in two sections. You can stop and rest between the first and second sections. The route passes a waterfall where you can get off and take pictures. The scenery along the way is beautiful, and there are dozens of rapids, making it a very exciting and fun activity. After completing the trip, you will need to walk up a staircase, which also takes about 20 minutes. The activity provides towels and shower facilities, followed by a simple buffet lunch! It gave me an unforgettable memory!
We had an amazing experience doing the Ayung White Water Rafting with Red Paddle in Ubud, Bali! Definitely one of the highlights of our Bali trip. The guides were very friendly, funny, and professional, making the whole activity exciting while still feeling safe. The scenery along the river was beautiful with waterfalls, lush forests, and relaxing views throughout the ride. The rafting itself was fun and beginner-friendly, perfect even for first timers. There were a lot of stairs going down and back up, so be prepared for a bit of trekking, but it was all worth it. The facilities were clean, and the buffet lunch after the activity was also good. Overall, highly recommended if you want an exciting and memorable adventure in Bali!
Buying and reserving tickets is very easy. Once you have decided on the date, go to the shop at the time you want to go, and start when a certain number of people have gathered. It's quite a walk to the river. After passing the rice field path, there are steep stone steps. Rafting is great. You are forced to buy drinks along the way, so if you don't want them, please refuse. When I bought mine, one small Coca-Cola can was 30,000 rupiah. But drinking Coke by the river is the best! There are photo spots here and there, and when you return to the shop after finishing, they sell photos and videos. It was 300,000 rupiah. Of course I bought some (^ ^) Lunch is also included in the buffet style. There was a cute cat inside the shop.
this is one of the highlights of our ubud bali experience! red paddle bali adventures and our guide, Di, was very kind and accommodating. he gave clear instructions before we started the activity. we had fun during the rafting and he really has a way to help us enjoy. he also takes good photos and had so many fun facts and interesting stories to share. he also brought a dry bag for our stuff and assisted us with everything we needed. during the rafting, there was a stop where we could get drinks and some snacks. Di paid it for us so no need to bring money, we just paid him back afterwards. for the services, red paddle has a good and clean place for changing to rafting clothes and also for shower after the activity. they also give nice smelling towels and bath gel. our buffet lunch felt like a homecooked indonesian meal! overall, it was a really nice experience and definitely a core memory for us! the klook price is also very affordable esp with hotel transfer. so glad we booked it!
This is one of the highlights in my Bali trip. One suggestion is dont let guets wear helmets and life jackets inside the car to the drop off. Its already to tight in the car and its not comfortable. The trek going down the river was extra. I did not expect to trek that far. But it is worth it. Our Guide is fun and friendly. They have stores in the middle of the ride that you stop over but its kind of expensive for a drink and bag of chips. Anyway good rafting! felt safe and the thrill is something you will want to experience again!
Before rafting, you'll put on a life vest and helmet. After a short drive, you'll need to climb many stairs, both up and down, to reach the rafting area, so you'll likely be out of breath and sweating. The actual rafting lasts about an hour and a half, with a 30-minute break in the middle where you can buy drinks (NT$120). Afterward, there's lunch, which is decent. I recommend sitting in the front left for the best photos, as you won't be blocked. There will be people taking photos and videos at various spots, and at the end, they'll ask if you want to buy the video and photos for around NT$800, which is quite expensive. I suggest splitting the cost with your rafting companions to make it more affordable. This was my first time rafting, and it wasn't too scary or prone to capsizing; it was genuinely thrilling and fun! I'd definitely want to go again!
I went rafting with my 7-year-old daughter, and while I enjoyed it, she was scared. I think she was frightened by the spinning and navigating the rapids. The scenery was absolutely stunning. I can't forget the palm tree forests and banana trees stretching out on both sides of the valley. They even stopped briefly in front of a waterfall for photos, and entertained us with stories about crocodiles and anacondas while going down the rapids. (This made my daughter think there were crocodiles in the water, so she got nervous!) I highly recommend the Ayung River rafting!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ **An Unforgettable Adventure!** My husband and I just finished an incredible white water rafting experience! I highly recommend the 9 AM start time; it sets a perfect pace for the day. Our driver was so kind, and the logistics were seamless. We spent about 2.5 hours on the water, with a beautiful stop for photos at a waterfall and refreshments halfway through. Just be prepared for quite a few steps down to the river and a few back up at the end. The facilities were very convenient, with lockers included. To top it all off, we met some wonderful new friends from Pakistan, and we ended the day by sharing a delicious lunch together. It was the perfect conclusion to a wonderful experience. Highly recommended!
it is so amazing experience. totally worth it! the instructor, Kantong is so amazing! he's really made the whole trip super fun! will come again some day. I do hope they will put in private shower in the future
