The driver picked me up at the hotel at 8 o'clock on time. Although I was traveling alone, the van they sent was very spacious. We first went to two dessert shops (you could try Mama's cookies, and the chocolate shop also had a guided tour, both of which were free of charge) and then set off for the village church. The journey was smooth and the church was very distinctive. The budget for lunch was 500P, which was enough to fill us up. The farm is also nice, with many stairs with Bible stories beside them, which is very special. If you want to go to the airport on the return trip, you have to pay an additional 500P, so please ask the driver to take you to smi iloilo to take a ride. The overall trip was very good, the driver was easy to get along with and communicate with, and he would help take pictures. Highly recommended! !
The tour sent an email a day before providing the Vehicle and Driver details. They've also allowed us to bring our luggages and change our drop-off location within the City Center. Our driver/guide/photographer, Kuya Mark, was very accommodating, he made sure my senior parents were comfortable and assisted. Though we are not Catholics (contrary to the tour) he was very patient with my parents and we adjusted our time for each location as needed. We skipped some destinations and went inside UP Visayas (bring proof of School ID if you're a UP alumni), car pass is 10 pesos. Lunch option was either at Tatoy's Manukan & Seafood or Breakthrough Restaurant. We chose Tatoy's but I think it's better to go for Breakthrough since this is not found in the City Center (late realizations). Bring your own sunglasses and cash for the Garin Farm Cart ride (4 tickets = roundtrip) as this is not included in the Tour package. Chocolate Drink at Balay nga Bato was really good! Buy the Mango Chewies and Cashew Crunchies at Mama's Kitchen. These are the best ones from all the free taste samples we tried.
I booked this tour for my parents aged 79 and 73 years. They had a great time exploring the Iloilo countryside with Mark from Southwest Tours. As senior citizens, the private tour is just what they needed so they can visit the sites included in the itinerary at their own pace. Lunch and snacks of their own are included which are which additional convenience. I recommend this voucher.
Garin farm is beautiful. Please be aware that there is a lot of walking and climbing. Although, there is an option to pay for a vehicle to go on top. The hot chocolate is also one of the best experience for me. I love the hot chocolate the most and the ancestral house was also very interesting. The entire trip was also seamless and the driver was the best.
Senior-friendly tour! If you're planning to visit Iloilo, book this tour! Everything was so convenient. Sir Alted shared lots of local tips. We didn’t strictly follow the itinerary, but he made sure it was something our parents would enjoy and appreciate. Thank you, Sir Alted, for the very insightful and thoughtful tour!
Kuya Anthony our driver is the best. he was very respectful and accommodating. Although we didn't get any tour guide for the trip he is more than enough, he gave us brief background of each tourist spot. we finished a little early so we had time to tour the the city also. we really love the tour we had with Kuya Anthony. thank you Kuya my parent really enjoyed it you made it really special for us.
It's actually a good tour, but I think for the price we had to pay, the itinerary could use some more places to visit. The highlight of our trip is Garin Farm, then we only spent our 15 minutes on each church. The majority of the tour was also us en route to another church. Luckily, there was no traffic. Sir Mark is also a good driver and very punctual. It's also nice that they have set aside a budget for us for lunch in Breakthrough, which is a good resto as well.
Driver was on time and very professional, our car was new and very clean. On the tour itself, this cultural tour should not be missed. First stop was in Garin Farm, where you can get to climb a number of steps and visit stations along the way (we skipped this since we rode a golf cart). At the top, you'll enter a dark tunnel and at the end see the very white place completing the journey. As you go down, try their goat's milk ice cream at the restaurant. Several churches can be visited including one of four Baroque churches in the country - Miagao Church. Then you'll have some lunch at a restaurant by the bay (Do not miss eating talaba!) Last stop is at Balay na Bato where you can eat Molo (early reservation before the tour is needed), tour guide provides a tour and tells stories at each room ending in the dining room upstairs (where Illustrados used to dine). Here you will be served two shots of cocoa drink with biscuits. We ended the tour early because we didn't spend too long at each stop 😊. All in all, it was a great experience.
Super fun trip with my workmates. Our first out of town vaction after pandemic. Very very satisfied with our bookings in Klook and very happy with our tour guide Sir Jazz he is very SMART hehe. He really love Iloilo City and he shared with us so many things about this beautiful city. This is my second time in Iloilo City and I am still very in love in this City. Thank you klook for the hassle-free bookings and for coordinating with our tour guide in the island. Till next time!
