Reviews
This tour is well managed and executed by guide Jeffrey who explain well about each destination with clear instructions. Be well prepared for the Winter cold at Kegon Waterfall. Train ride showcase the beauty of the autumn season( tip- sit on the right side of the train to capture the autumn foliages).
Really nice autumn colors near kegon falls and chuzenji lake. I enjoyed even the bus ride due to the scenic view. Amazed by the bus driver’s driving skills. Tour guide is great, lots of stories, and tell jokes sometimes, which makes the tour fun.
Jeffrey was our Tour guide. He send us reminder the night before the Tour. It was a Big group 45 persons, nobody got lost so that is good. Basic necessities was covered in our tour.
the tour guide is very nice and helpful, Mr Arai Yuichi. it worths the trip since we are able to make it. Nikko is much colder in Tokyo so preparing your clothing. food and baverage could be found across the trip so do not need to buy in advance. the guide also introduced us to a very nice Soba noodle which is very delicious and close to the bus stop. most of people will not find the seeing with colorful trees around Ritz - Carlton hotel, do not miss it.
Highly recommended for capturing the autumn at Nikko. We chose this as we wanted to soak in the fall vibes & this was totally worth it.
This trip to Nikko is well worth it after a few days of the urban sprawl of Tokyo! Jeffrey was a great guide with a great sense of humour!
Tour guide, Jeffrey, is very friendly, professional and reliable. He gave instructions clearly and is hard working. However the driver was driving very aggressively and made the passengers not feeling safe. On 28 November 2025, most of the yellow and red leaves are gone. Would suggest to go 2 weeks earlier for a better scenery. Lunch was not provided but there were meals available at the restaurants near the waterfall.
The tour guide Ichi very responsible. A bit disappointed is the autumn leaves all gone.
At Kegon Falls and Lake Chuzenji, all the restaurants were crowded, with about a 30-minute wait. If we had around 2.5 hours of stay, we could have enjoyed lunch at a more leisurely pace. As of November 4th (Tuesday), the autumn foliage situation was as follows: • Watarase Keikoku Railway / Lake Chuzenji / Kegon Falls: It seemed like the best viewing would be in another 1-2 weeks. • On the other hand, Irohazaka was at its peak and very beautiful.
Jeffrey the tour guide has a sense of humour.. which is another plus to the tour. Excellent! The 48 curved road called IROHAZAkA[winding road] is amazing wish I could get an aerial view photo. Although we went there when autumn leaves has already fallen..it would be nice to see vibrant autumn colors.
