What to expect
The Suwa Lake Fireworks Festival is an important annual fireworks festival in Nagano Prefecture. It attracts more than 500,000 people to enjoy it every year. With more than 40,000 fireworks, it is also the fireworks festival with the largest number of launches in Japan! The venue, Lake Suwa, is the largest lake in Nagano Prefecture. It is said to be one of the sources of the creativity of "Your Name". The Suwa Lake Fireworks Festival is divided into two stages. The first stage is a total of 10 fireworks masters competing with their own designs to show the creativity and beauty of each fireworks master! The second stage is the "Kiss of Fire" that lights up the entire night sky in the lake. The semicircular fireworks from the lake gradually merge with the fireworks from the launch station "Hatsushima" on the lake, and finally become a hemispherical and 2,000-meter-high aerial fireworks waterfall! The explosion sound accompanying the fireworks echoed between the valleys, which was full of shock!

Reviews
Great service overall, instructions were given in English for those who do not speak chinese or Japanese, the food provided was very good and the bus drivers were very nice and welcoming. The festival itself was amazing, having a secured ride without the need to rush to the train station was nice and gave some free time to spend around Lake Suwa
The fireworks were amazing and well worth seeing. The vineyard along the way was nice. The only downside was the awkward ending time, getting back to Shinjuku at 4 AM when the subway wasn't running yet! It seems like choosing a tour with an overnight stay would have been better. Something to consider for older folks. Chen, our guide, was great.
