amazing views, beautiful building, pretty day and especially night and very easy voucher to use/redeem. we had no luck seeing Fuji-San but still enjoyed our time there with the gorgeous Tokyo tower and city views and the Monowit exhibit and the super creative Nano-Nano exhibit at the exit. highly recommend
Great experience. it was our first visit to Roppongi hills obsevatory. Beautiful views, very supportive staff, quite easy to reach to the venue, staff was available at all designated areas to guide us. Booking from klook was the most easy and economical option available. we booked the visit a day prior, we wanted the evening slot only and got one. suggestion is to book in advance. Price in compared to other options was way too reasonable. We will definitely be booking more excursion thru Klook and will visit Japan again soon.
1. If you go at night, the background (the observatory wall behind the person taking the photo) will reflect a lot in the glass. It's best to find a position and angle where there's minimal reflection. 2. It's definitely prettier at night. Because of this, you might even have to wait in line at spots with the Tokyo Tower in the background. Be aware that some people might inconsiderately take photos for a long time in the same spot. 3. The entrance and exit are different, and you have to walk all the way around. The closer you get to the exit, the less you can see Tokyo Tower, but it's quieter and there are places to lean and take photos, so the atmosphere is better. (However, if you like night views, the scenery around Tokyo Tower is still better.) 4. How to enter: Find the Mori Tower Gallery and take the elevator to the 3rd floor -> Buy tickets at the 3rd-floor ticket office or present your pre-purchased ticket QR code -> Follow the instructions and take the elevator to the 52nd floor in order (scan your QR code to enter).
After checking the Tokyo sunset time on the day of my visit, I made a 7 PM reservation and arrived around 6:45 PM. The very kind staff members guided me smoothly through the entrance. I was able to watch the streets of Tokyo transition from dusk into night, and it was a truly wonderful experience.
The observation deck on the 52nd floor offered a truly beautiful view. Since we arrived at 7 PM, we were able to witness the transition from the evening glow to the nightscape. There was an exhibition for the manga "Chi." which had such a long line that it was hard to move, but now it's a fond memory. Merchandise related to "Chi." was also being sold. I bought candy containing algae that had traveled to space. Honestly, I couldn't really taste the algae, but it was a NASA product, and perhaps because of the "Chi." connection, NASA food items (like freeze-dried ice cream and other dried foods) were also for sale, which was interesting to see. The exhibition style for "Chi." was very unique, especially the experience of entering a dark room, which might be enjoyable even for those not very familiar with the manga. I would like to go again to relax my mind.
This was hands down best tokyo view point. Its much better than shibuya sky and very less crowded. You should book it during sunset to enjoy both views. The tokyo tower view at night is spectacular. a very good option if the shibuya sky is sold out
easy access just go to the third floor, show the voucher st information and you are good to go. not that crowded, and you can see clearly the Tokyo Tower. good to view the tokyo while listening to the sound at mori exhibit. makes you feel like japan is a really good place and it is really hard to say goodbye. and definitiely will back.
To enter, use the entrance on the third floor next to the Mori Art Museum. If you use Google Maps, it will direct you to the exit, so please be careful. As for the view, Tokyo Tower is beautiful, and the other night views are also stunning. You can even see the Shuto Expressway Route 3. There are also anime exhibitions with periodically changing themes that you can explore.
