The Hanging Temple, built over 1,500 years ago during the Northern Wei Dynasty, is renowned for its unique design. Perched precariously on the cliffs, it’s one of the few ancient temples that combines elements of Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism.

The temple houses numerous statues and relics that reflect the spiritual beliefs of the time. Follow your t our guide, walking through the halls, you’ll feel a deep sense of peace and tranquility as you explore the sacred spaces.

After indulging in a delightful lunch at a local restaurant, the next step on your journey should be an exploration of one of China's most breathtaking treasures: the Yungang Grottoes.

The Yungang Grottoes, a UNESCO World Heritage site, are renowned for their stunning rock-cut sculptures, which date back to the 5th and 6th centuries during the Northern Wei Dynasty. With their 252 caves and 51,000 status.

With over 50,000 statues, ranging from tiny figurines to colossal Buddhas, the grottoes are a testament to ancient craftsmanship and artistry. Afterwards, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Datong.

Day 2: Meet your driver in your Datong hotels lobby, heading to Datong Railway Station, enjoy a 3.5 hours bullet train ride on your own to Pingyao. Your tour guide will greet you upon arrival, and you will be transferred to your hotel in Pingyao.

Pingyao Old City is a mesmerizing fusion of rich history, stunning architecture, and vibrant culture. Founded during the Western Zhou Dynasty (1046 – 771 BC) and meticulously rebuilt in 1370, this ancient city is not just a destination;

Exploring Pingyao on foot allows you to absorb the city's unique atmosphere while following the footsteps of its storied past. Our afternoon walking tour led by a knowledgeable guide was an immersive experience that brought the past to life.

Day 3: After meet you tour guide, heading directly to the famous Shuanglin Temple in Pingyao. Which is considered as “the Oriental Treasure House of Painted Sculptures” and “A Museum of Ancient Art".

Here keeps over 2,000 exquisite ancient painted sculptures and lots of beautifully preserved frescoes from Yuan to Ming Dynasty (13th -17th century). These masterpieces of art and the entire architecture complex are ancient cultural splendors.

Afterwards, you will be transferred to the train station for a 3 hour bullet train ride to Xi'an. Upon your arrival at the Xi'an North Railway Station, you will be greeted by your knowledgeable local guide, then heading directly to Xi'an City Wall.

The Xi'an City Wall was originally built during the Ming Dynasty in the 14th century. The wall served as a defensive fortification, protecting the city from invasions. It is one of the best-preserved city walls in the world.

Walking along its ramparts, you can almost feel the echoes of history resonating from its stone bricks. Afterwards, you will be transferred to your hotel in Xi'an.

Day 4: Meet your tour guide in the lobby of your hotel, heading directly to the world-famous Terracotta warriors museum. This UNESCO World Heritage site is home to thousands of life-sized terracotta soldiers, horses.

The museum consists of three main pits where the warriors have been excavated. Each pit showcases different ranks of soldiers, including infantry, archers&cavalry. The sheer number of figures&their arrangement provide insight into ancient military format

Your tour guide will provide you with fascinating insights and stories that you won’t find in guidebooks. This depth of knowledge brings the site to life, making your visit an unforgettable experience.

Savoring a delicious lunch at a local restaurant and exploring the magnificent Big Wild Goose Pagoda in the afternoon. Originally built in 652 AD, this architectural marvel was constructed to house Buddhist scriptures&relics brought back from India.

One of the most remarkable aspects of the pagoda is its construction technique. It features a hollow interior, allowing visitors to ascend through a winding staircase to the top, where they are rewarded with panoramic views of the surrounding area.

Your tour will ends here, you can choose to finish in your tour in Xi'an, or heading to your next destination (at your own cost).
