Solo stay

Very nice and clean rooms and the staff was amazing, helping with luggage services and warning about incoming bad weather and recommendations for things to do on those days. The attached restaurant had amazing coffee and great breakfast for the days when I didn’t want to think about where to eat in the morning. Location just steps away from the market meant I can always grab a delicious new snack on the way in or out of the hotel. Being within a 10 minute walk to most major areas and subway stations was super convenient!

The hotel is in a great location, super close to the heart of Kyoto. There are plenty of food options around you and cafes. Walking distance to the metro station and the Kamo River. Hotel staff is super friendly, and the hotel is clean, comfortable, and it has everything you need. Super recommended!

We were here as 2 friends travelling together. POSITIVES: The room was a great size (compared to some Japanese hotels) with good, customisable lighting (some hotels have had very low lighting in comparison). Had 2 variety of pillows, one with an Interesting neck support thing inbuilt, which I loved. Great location, 500m walk to nishiki markets for food . We didn’t include breakfast, but the cafe opened early (7am) she did good coffee & had a small western breakfast menu. There is a separate public lounge space to hang out/eat your own food. NEGATIVES: the bathroom fan was on constantly. It wasn’t super loud but could be annoying if you’re a light sleeper. Fixed with ear plugs. Our room window was fully frosted, which while it still let in light & was obviously for privacy to the next door building, meant you couldn’t see the sky/weather. Overall we really liked this hotel & would definitely stay again.

The hotel is small but beautiful near the famous Nishiki Market. There are tons of restaurants and shops around it. The metro is only a few blocks away. We loved our stay and highly recommend the hotel.
