We had a great experience on our Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong River tour! Everything was well-organized and seamless, from pick-up to drop-off. Our guide, Vinh, was excellent. His English was great, he was very accommodating, and he made sure all the guests were comfortable and taken care of throughout the day. He shared a lot of interesting information and patiently answered everyone’s questions. The tour itself was packed with activities but didn’t feel rushed. Highly recommended, especially if you get Vinh as your guide!

Cu Chi Tunnel Highlights

Vast Underground Tunnel Network

Explore sections of the underground tunnels, including living quarters, underground passageways, and command centers. These tunnels were crucial for Viet Cong fighters conducting guerrilla warfare, enabling them to move undetected, store supplies, and plan operations.

Hidden Tunnel Entrances and Booby Traps

The tunnels feature cleverly disguised entrances and numerous booby traps designed to defend against intruders. You will also see breathing mounds, small air vents that allowed ventilation while keeping the tunnels hidden.

Ben Dinh and Ben Duoc Sites

  • Ben Dinh Tunnels: Ideal for the tunnel crawl experience, these tunnels are smaller and easier to navigate, giving visitors a sense of the confined conditions soldiers endured.

  • Ben Duoc Site: Features the Ben Duoc memorial temple honoring the bravery of Viet Cong soldiers and provides insight into Vietnamese history.

Tunnel Crawl Experience

Experience a 150-meter crawl through narrow underground tunnels, giving a firsthand understanding of the dark, cramped conditions faced by Viet Cong fighters.

Live Firing Range

Visitors can try authentic weapons used during the Vietnam War, including rifles and pistols, under professional supervision. This experience helps understand the intensity of the conflict and the combat skills of Viet Cong fighters. Safety protocols are strictly followed, making it suitable for beginners and adults.

War Remnants and Bomb Craters

Near the tunnels, visitors can view bomb craters created during American airstrikes, serving as a reminder of the Vietnam War's destructive impact. For broader historical context, the War Remnants Museum in Ho Chi Minh City provides additional exhibits and artifacts.

Documentary Rooms

On-site documentary rooms detail the daily life of Viet Cong soldiers, the strategies of the tunnel network, and stories from tunnel rats, the soldiers who navigated the tunnels to gather intelligence.

Cu Chi Tunnels Tour Options

  • Half-day Cu Chi Tunnels tour: Perfect for those short on time; includes Ben Dinh Tunnels and live firing range.
