My tour was scheduled on Mar/08 but due to unforeseen reasons I called up the tour operator to have it rescheduled and they didn’t hesitate a bit to do it free of charge . Today’s Mekong Delta and Cu Chi Tunnels tour with Nicole was an absolute highlight of my Vietnam trip. Her boundless energy kept the group excited from the boat rides through lush delta canals to crawling through the historic Cu Chi tunnels. Cu Chi Tunnels Adventure At the tunnels, her lively storytelling brought Vietnam War history to life, explaining the 250km network while encouraging safe exploration and even range shooting. Nicole ensured everyone felt comfortable, patiently answering questions with a big smile. Mekong delta Nicole’s enthusiasm shone as she led us on sampan boats past Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Tortoise Islands, sharing fun facts about local life and stopping at a coconut candy workshop for tastings. Do buy Candies from this local community and support them .

The Mekong Delta and Cu Chi Tunnels looked like a long distance to cover in one day on the map. While the travel time was indeed long, the tour was packed with activities and very enjoyable. Our tour guide, Nolan, kept the energy high throughout the day, making it a memorable and fun experience.

Had an amazing day exploring the Cu Chi Tunnels and the Mekong Delta! Our tour guide, DragonKing, was outstanding—his thoroughness, deep knowledge, and passion for Vietnam’s history made every stop incredibly meaningful. He explained everything in such an engaging way and made sure our group was comfortable and well taken care of throughout the entire trip. The experience was both educational and fun, and we left with a much deeper appreciation for the culture and history here. Highly recommend this tour, especially if you’re lucky enough to have DragonKing as your guide!

We had a great experience visiting the Cu Chi Tunnels. It was amazing how much we were able to see and learn in such a short amount of time. If we had tried to do this on our own, it would have taken much more time and effort, so the tour was very convenient for us. The price was also very reasonable for the experience. We learned a lot of interesting facts about the history of the tunnels, which made the visit even more meaningful. Our tour guide, Leo, was also very good. he even contacted us the day before the trip to make sure everything was clear and well organized. Also, gave us restaurant and shopping place recommendations. Bonus points as well for the hotel pick-up and drop-off, which made the whole experience even more convenient and hassle-free. Overall, it was a smooth, informative, and enjoyable tour. 😊

Cu Chi Tunnel Highlights

Vast Underground Tunnel Network

Explore sections of the underground tunnels, including living quarters, underground passageways, and command centers. These tunnels were crucial for Viet Cong fighters conducting guerrilla warfare, enabling them to move undetected, store supplies, and plan operations.

Hidden Tunnel Entrances and Booby Traps

The tunnels feature cleverly disguised entrances and numerous booby traps designed to defend against intruders. You will also see breathing mounds, small air vents that allowed ventilation while keeping the tunnels hidden.

Ben Dinh and Ben Duoc Sites

  • Ben Dinh Tunnels: Ideal for the tunnel crawl experience, these tunnels are smaller and easier to navigate, giving visitors a sense of the confined conditions soldiers endured.

  • Ben Duoc Site: Features the Ben Duoc memorial temple honoring the bravery of Viet Cong soldiers and provides insight into Vietnamese history.

Tunnel Crawl Experience

Experience a 150-meter crawl through narrow underground tunnels, giving a firsthand understanding of the dark, cramped conditions faced by Viet Cong fighters.

Live Firing Range

Visitors can try authentic weapons used during the Vietnam War, including rifles and pistols, under professional supervision. This experience helps understand the intensity of the conflict and the combat skills of Viet Cong fighters. Safety protocols are strictly followed, making it suitable for beginners and adults.

War Remnants and Bomb Craters

Near the tunnels, visitors can view bomb craters created during American airstrikes, serving as a reminder of the Vietnam War's destructive impact. For broader historical context, the War Remnants Museum in Ho Chi Minh City provides additional exhibits and artifacts.

Documentary Rooms

On-site documentary rooms detail the daily life of Viet Cong soldiers, the strategies of the tunnel network, and stories from tunnel rats, the soldiers who navigated the tunnels to gather intelligence.
