Fantastic 5.0
Our walking tour in Rome was a blast! Our guide, Sharon (same name coincidentally), was really knowledgeable about Rome’s history. She told us about the historic sites and monuments, showed us pictures of how they looked like in the past (on the placards and her own phone) and gave us tips on travelling in Rome. We recommend this if you need to cover the highlights in two hours! 😊🇮🇹

Fantastic 5.0
Sharon was a delight! She was warm, vivacious and really knows her stuff!! She is 67 and has been a local for 42 yrs. This tour is not something you just read in Wikipedia. Enjoyed it. Learned a lot. Absolutely perfect. No notes.

Fantastic 5.0
I enjoyed this trip very much. Our guide Fabio was knowledgeable and funny. He told us so many facts during this walking tour and was ready to help even after the trip with regards to any questions about Rome like travel back, how to go about anything, etc.

Fantastic 5.0
A fantastic tour, highly recommended! The golf cart was very clean and comfortable and our guide Ram was phenomenal. Ram asked us a lot of questions about the sites we were interested in but also what our interests were ie art/history etc. The amount we saw we could never have done in a day on our own. I would absolutely book this again when next back in Rome.

Fantastic 5.0
If you want to experience Rome like a local, riding a Vespa is undoubtedly the most stylish way to truly immerse yourself in the "Eternal City." It's not just transportation; it's a sensory adventure that engages all five senses. Signing up for the Rome Vespa sidecar tour before our trip became the most unforgettable and enjoyable experience of our entire Italian journey.

Fantastic 5.0
Booking this Vespa sidecar tour for our Rome trip was the best decision I made, creating wonderful memories with my daughter. Before the tour, the drivers disinfected the helmets with alcohol and provided each of us with a headscarf to wear before putting on the helmet. They were also very gentlemanly, ensuring our helmets were properly secured and helping us get off the sidecar. They even assisted with taking photos at designated spots. Our guide, Barbara, was incredibly knowledgeable, and we were so lucky to have her explain Rome's history and the stories behind its ancient sites. When we arrived at the Trevi Fountain, she thoughtfully provided coins for everyone to make a wish. The tour fee included breakfast, admission to the Trevi Fountain, and Pantheon tickets. We passed by all these locations during the tour, stopping at several points for explanations and photos. Our group happened to be small but everyone was very easygoing. Receiving envious glances and having other tourists take pictures of us along the way made this a truly worthwhile and highly recommended tour. I'll even help them out by including their QR code! 😆

Great 4.0
This was the second time that I stayed in this hotel. The location is very convenient and close to Roma Termini. The room is clean and tidy. I played the privacy hanger at my door throughout my 4 nights, and there was no one trying to get into my room and moving my possessions. I would recommend this hotel if you want to find one closes to the station.

Fantastic 5.0
Service: The hotel reception staff were very friendly! Since we arrived at 9:00 AM local time after a long-haul flight, they specially arranged an early check-in for us! Cleanliness: The room was very clean! We slept comfortably every night. Hotel Location: It's only a 5-minute walk from Rome Termini Station, which is very convenient! If you enjoy exploring Rome on foot, you can walk to famous attractions like the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, and the Colosseum in less than half an hour!

Things to Do in Piazza Navona

Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi (Fountain of the Four Rivers)

The Fountain of the Four Rivers, also called Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi, shows the world in a round pool with statues representing four big rivers: the Nile from Africa, the Danube from Europe, the Ganges from Asia, and the Rio de la Plata from the Americas. Each statue has plants from its continent, like prickly pears for the Americas and a date palm for Africa.

Around the sculpture, you'll find seven animals: a dolphin, crocodile, lion, horse, serpent, dragon, and sea monster. It's a cool fountain with lots of interesting details!

Fontana del Moro (Fountain of the Moor)

The Fountain of the Moor, originally known as the "Seashell Fountain," was created by Giacomo della Porta and later improved by Bernini, who included the figure of the Moor. You can find this fountain on the southern side of the square, adding a touch of artistry and history to the charming surroundings of Piazza Navona.

Fontana del Nettuno (Fountain of Neptune)

In Florence's Piazza della Signoria, there's another Piazza Navona Fountain called the Fountain of Neptune. It shows Neptune, the sea god, on a chariot pulled by horses. The statue is made of bright white marble and was created by Antonio della Bitta between 1563 and 1565 to celebrate a new water system in the city. Surrounding Neptune are other sea creatures like Tritons and spirits.

Stadio di Domiziano (The Stadium of Domitian)

Explore the remains of the Stadium of Domitian in the Piazza Navona Underground, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Located approximately 4.50 meters below street level in Piazza Navona, discover the ancient ruins of the first and only masonry athletics stadium in Roman history.

Learn more about the Roman Empire and the fascinating history of ancient sports as you journey into this ancient stadium.

Museo di Roma (Museum of Rome)

The Palazzo Braschi, found in the square, is now home to the Museum of Rome. Inside, you can explore Rome's history through paintings, engravings, and ancient artworks from Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 to 19:00.

This museum is a significant place to learn about Rome's social and artistic past from the Middle Ages to the early 20th century. There are over a hundred thousand works, including paintings, sculptures, and more from Vatican museums. Some items, like furniture and clothing, are displayed in rotation, offering a look into Rome's rich heritage through the ages.

Popular attractions near Piazza Navona

Pantheon

Visit the Pantheon, known as the Roman Pantheon, a stunning building in Rome, well preserved from ancient times. You can go to its surroundings to take pictures, enjoy meals at nearby terraces, and watch street performers in Piazza della Rotonda. It's a lively place where you can take in the history and vibrant atmosphere of this famous landmark.

The Church of Saint Agnes in Agony

The Church of Saint Agnes in Agony is the main attraction in the Piazza, though some people think Bernini's fountain is even more popular. Built in the 17th century in a fancy style called baroque, this church was finished by a father-son team along with another architect named Francesco Borromini.

The front of the church is seen as a baroque Rome masterpiece because it's very special and creative. It's said to be one of the prettiest church fronts in Rome, right after Saint Peter's Basilica.

Campo de Fiori

Campo de Fiori Market is a big outdoor market in the heart of Rome, one of the largest markets in the city. It used to be in Piazza Navona but moved to Campo de' Fiori in 1869. Now, it's popular with tourists but still offers fresh goods.

The market is open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. every day, with some stalls staying open a little later and street artists performing around the area.
