My biggest concern was altitude sickness, but the entire trip went well, and I didn't feel anything. This might be because we had oxygen tanks, and for higher altitudes, the travel agency arranged oxygen rooms, which was a really great touch!
Itinerary: On the day we explored Daocheng Yading, it's essential to bring an oxygen tank. You'll definitely feel a difference in your heart and lungs, and the climb can still be a bit challenging; however, I thought the scenery was decent. The night sky was truly beautiful, and you could see the stars clearly with the naked eye, no telescope needed. Personally, I prefer Mount Siguniang over Daocheng Yading; the scenery at Mount Siguniang is lusher and more diverse!
Driver: The driver was excellent, drove steadily, and had a mild temperament. He was punctual every day and shared interesting local customs and stories with us along the way.

Sally and Bruce from Klook did an excellent job arranging our customized tour. The hotels we stayed at we very conveniently located and quite nice. Mr. Jiang who was our tour guide did an amazing job driving us around and explaining the history and culture of Guilin and Yangshuo. I would thoroughly recommend him as he was the best tour guide we had on our entire trip.

What I loved most was that the scenery changed every day; nine-picture grids on WeChat Moments weren't enough to post all the photos. The drone was always ready to fly with the car, and our driver, Brother Leng Qiang, helped us take so many aerial group photos.
The driver mentioned that the number of tourists in late July was already much higher than usual. Indeed, there were a lot of cars on the road, and some roads were winding mountain roads, so I'd advise those considering self-driving to be cautious. Although the daily drives were long, our small group could stop anytime for restroom breaks and photos, so the pace wasn't rushed.
Overall, I was quite satisfied, especially with the driver. I really have to commend him; he's an excellent driver, very attentive, and speaks kindly!

My friend and I booked this trip, and we chose this itinerary specifically for the Genyen Secret Realm. First, let's talk about the accommodation, which is often a primary concern. The 'Comfort' package was quite good for a high-altitude region. The night in Genyen Town, in particular, was simple but clean, better than we expected. The reverse-route altitude design was indeed traveler-friendly; we acclimatized at Mount Siguniang before heading to higher elevations, and we didn't need oxygen tanks at all. Genyen in June is incredibly beautiful – meadows, streams, snow-capped mountains, wildflowers; every view is postcard-perfect. Moshi Park is truly magical, like being on another planet. The weather cooperated perfectly at Yuzi West this time, and we saw the golden sunset over the mountains, which everyone cheered for. Our driver-guide was very experienced, knew the best photo opportunities at each spot, and even helped us secure good vantage points. There were no shopping stops throughout the trip, so all our time was spent enjoying the scenery. My advice is: bring good sunscreen and lip balm, drink plenty of water, and take your time.

I had the best day visiting Mingshi Pastures and Detian Waterfall. I recommend downloading WeChat to easily communicate with the booking team and driver on the day. The app has in built translations so you can easily find out the plan and meeting points for each location. Enough time was given to explore and the scenery was just divine. My eyes and soul are very happy.
