Fantastic 5.0
I have a great experience in this hotel, it's just beside the huis ten bosh park, I have a very long day coming from fukuoka, so when I arrive in the hotel I just leave my luggage then stroll in the park, afterwards I came back to hotel and rest for a while then back in the park again at night so I can watch the fireworks and illumination... it was a great experience and the staff are very accommodating and kind, the best part of the hotel is the public bath( onsen ), my tired feet and body suddenly have a relaxation, you have to book this hotel, also the breakfast is delicious worth it of the price.

Convenient Transportation: You can send your luggage to the hotel before entering the park, which is very convenient. After entering the park, you can take a boat and disembark near the hotel, or take a bus to the entrance. The hotel is located in the middle of the park, making it very convenient to return to your room to rest after an evening of fun.

Fantastic 5.0
The hotel is great, but foreign tourists with large luggage should carefully consider their options before booking. I initially thought that not having an elevator and only needing to carry luggage to the second floor wouldn't be a big deal, especially since staying one night includes park admission for the next day, which saves a lot. However, on the day we entered the park, we encountered a heavy downpour. Although we were lucky enough to get directly on the shuttle from the park entrance to the hotel, and the hotel staff quickly came out to greet us and offer towels, which was very thoughtful, after checking in, I discovered another challenge: there was no covered walkway from the lobby to Building D, where I was staying, and no covered walkway for carrying luggage from the first to the second floor. It was just a disaster. For breakfast, it's similar to Subway, with various toppings. Each person chooses one bread and one meat, and then you can add other toppings as you like. You can eat it there or take it to go. There are also coffee, drinks, yogurt, etc. I found it to be plenty and delicious. In summary, if you don't have large luggage or if it's not raining, this is an excellent choice. The shuttle service runs more frequently on weekends, but walking is also manageable.

Fantastic 5.0
The rooms at Hotel Europe Huis Ten Bosch are incredibly spacious (a minimum of 37 square meters), offering a level of comfort rarely found in Japan. If you stay in a harbor-view room, you can enjoy fireworks and sunrises directly from your room, providing an absolutely stunning view. Although the facilities are a bit older, there's a free shuttle bus to and from the park, and the hotel offers official benefits like luggage delivery and early park entry, making transportation very convenient. The breakfast buffet is abundant and delicious, and you can dine while enjoying the sea view. Overall, it offers excellent value for money. If you prioritize spacious comfort over brand-new decor, this hotel comes highly recommended!

This is where I always stay when I go to Huis Ten Bosch. This is my third time staying here, and it's always a place that gives me happy memories. The chawanmushi at breakfast is more delicious than at regular restaurants.

Easy to redeem. Before the main entrance, near to car park, there is where to take shuttle bus. Welcoming staff, nice villa to have a temporary home feeling, clear instruction from staff. Will consider to come back next time for the relaxation.

More about Sasebo hotels

What staying in Sasebo feels like

Staying in Sasebo shows a relatively tight spread between the most affordable and most premium hotels — the top‑to‑bottom difference is modest. The best balance of comfort and value is in the standard tier, which typically represents the smartest choice for most travellers.

Comparing hotel classes and who they suit

Economy rooms sit at the lower end and are the most budget‑conscious option, while standard rooms offer notably better value and are where most travellers find a practical compromise between cost and comfort. The biggest step up comes when moving from standard to premium — choosing premium represents the largest price jump and is the decision point for travellers wanting a clear upgrade in quality. Luxury rooms are at the top of the range for those prioritising higher-end comforts and are priced above the other tiers.

When travellers from the Philippines tend to book

For travellers from the Philippines, the priciest month for nightly rates is November and the cheapest month is June, with June typically suiting budget‑led trips. Rooms in Sasebo are often reserved in advance — travellers usually book around seven weeks ahead, and this tendency increases during pricier months.
