    Here’s something that’s sure to keep you entertained during this quarantine period. Though wildlife centres all over the world are closing up due to the coronavirus pandemic, a handful of these zoos and aquariums have set up live webcams to bring the zoo to your home. So if you’re down for some elephant sightings and penguin feeding segments - keep reading to see what animal live stream is right for you!
    Fair warning: these animal live streams are not only adorable, but they are also incredibly distracting. So if you are working from home, proceed with caution. 

    1. Melbourne Zoo

    Australia is especially known for its wildlife and offers some of the best wildlife centres in the world - one of which being Melbourne Zoo. Through Zoo Victoria’s Animal House, you can still take a look at some of Melbourne Zoo’s wild creatures including snow leopards, giraffes, lions and zebras - just through live stream webcams!

    2. Smithsonian National Zoo

    Can’t sleep? The Smithsonian National Zoo streams 24/7 webcams of several of their animals including lions, elephants and naked mole rats! But most especially, the centre has set up a camera for their beloved pandas Tian Tian and Mei Xang.

The International Wolf Centre offers a 24-hour streaming service of their facility so visitors from all over the world learn more about wolves.     The San Diego Zoo is one the most popular animal facilities in the world, housing over 3,500 species of animals under their roof. Though you won’t be able to see all 3,500 at once over their wildlife webcams, they have set up a page on their website so visitors can easily access live-streams of a handful of animals - from condors to owls, pandas to tigers, and penguins to polar bears!
    Additionally, zookeepers and staff have been actively doing scheduled Facebook Lives to continually engage with potential zoo visitors, or anyone interested to learn more about animals. Just a couple days ago, they orphaned a koala Joey named Omeo and you can stay updated on this as well! 

    5. Monterey Bay Aquarium

    While Monterey Bay Aquarium in California may be closed for the time-being, their webcams are still streaming. For now, viewers can enjoy adorable webcams of sea otters, penguins, and sharks. In addition to these fascinating creatures, they also have aviary cams, coral reef cams, a kelp forest cam, a jellyfish cam, a Monterey Bay beach cam, and an open sea cam!

    6. Tembe Elephant Park, South Africa

If you’re interested in learning more about the day-to-day routine of these gentle giants, check out Tembe Elephant Park’s 24-hour live-stream as they capture the elephants drinking, bathing, interacting with other animals throughout the reserve.

You can join in on a fascinating look into piranha feeding and the calming sensation of beluga whale gliding through your screen to name a few.
