    Are you ready for some outdoor fun in Davao?

    Davao is home to over a million people and eleven ethnolinguistic groups. With a total land area of 2,443 square kilometers, it surely has a lot to offer any traveler. Even locals would love the variety of activities offered in and around the region. Not only do they have a multitude of resorts that highlight great beaches like Dahican Beach, Davao also offers a myriad of activities for everyone to enjoy.

    1. Hike up Mt. Apo.

    If you’re an experienced hiker, then you should definitely check off climbing Mt. Apo off your bucket list. It’s the highest mountain in the country and a sacred place in local mythology.     2. Visit the Kadayawan Tribal Village

    This village is dedicated to the culture of the indigenous people of Mindanao, or the Lumads. The Kadayawan Tribal Village exhibits the houses and history of the eleven tribes of Davao. Located inside the Ramon Magsaysay Park, you can also spend the afternoon biking, skating or going on a picnic. Don’t forget to drop by the Magsaysay Fruit Stand for some fresh durian and pomelo!

    3. Go strawberry picking at BEMWA Farm

    Just a two-hour drive from the city, a day is BEMWA Farm is just what you need. Go out in the fields and harvest fresh strawberries. They also offer sunflower picking! Before you head out, take a break at their in-house cafe and enjoy homegrown treats like strawberry taho, strawberry ice cream, and strawberry jam. You can also bring home fresh organic veggies and herbs. Even better, entrance is just Php 50!

    4. Go on a chocolate tour at Malagos Garden Resort

    This Davao spot is a treat for all chocolate lovers! Go on an interactive tour of the Chocolate Museum and be part of a chocolate making session. Aside from that, you can also experience their chocolate spa, explore the Mindanao Contemporary Art Gallery and the Museo de Mariposa, or walk along its beautiful gardens.     5. Get an adrenaline rush at Outland Adventure

    This private nature sanctuary is just a few minutes away from the city. It is the largest rope course facility in the country and has a reputation for fun. With their trained instructors, you’re in safe hands. Challenge yourself and feel the natural rush you get when you try out the 1,000 meter-long Zipline and the Reverse Bungee Jump. You can also request their High Ropes Circuit, an adventure-based program where you face challenges while suspended high off the ground.

    Relax and take in the sight of colorful butterflies freely fluttering around.
