    1. Hoover Dam

    You’re gonna have a dam good time visiting Hoover Dam! This architectural structure isn’t the “Greatest Dam in the World” for nothing. As tall as a 60-story building and stretching as wide as 1,244 feet, this man-made wonder is here to stun! Over 21,000 men built the dam from 1931 to 1935 to help control the flooding of the Colorado River. And today, it continues to do so.
    When visiting Hoover Dam during your Las Vegas to Phoenix road trip, you’ll also chance upon Lake Mead, the body of water created by the dam and the largest man-made lake in the USA.

This breathtaking wonder by the Colorado River contains gorgeous rock formations carved over six million years ago. You can spot rust-colored sandstone, shale, and limestone of all shapes and sizes from Mather Point Overlook, the most accessible vantage point, and Eagle Point on the West Rim.

You don’t want to miss this wild wonder on your way from Las Vegas to Phoenix as it offers a magical scenery of smooth, golden walls with soft light beaming from above.
    To reach Antelope Canyon, you can park your ride at the entrance at Highway 98 and head to either point: Upper Antelope, the ground entrance that’s easily accessible, and Lower Antelope, which involves an adventure of climbing several flights of stairs and ladders.

Just outside Phoenix, this small city is surrounded by mountains, deserts, and pine trees to cool you after a warm sunny day of road-trippin'. Outdoor enthusiasts and snowboarders can even trek and slide the slopes of San Francisco Peaks (Arizona’s tallest mountain) and the Arizona Snowbowl Ski Resort.
    As for fans of Disney’s Cars, there’s something here for you too! Flagstaff is also an important stop on the historic Route 66, so you bet you’ll find plenty of its history here.
