"If there’s anyone who deserves a five-star getaway, it’s my mom! 🥺
Last September, our family's world flipped upside down when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
I just came back from the Klook Kreatorverse trip when I received the news. After the Kreatorverse trip, my siblings and I had to scramble to prepare for her masectomy surgery as soon as possible.
By October, she was already in surgery, and from then on, life became a cycle of hospital visits, check-ups, tests, and post-op procedures. It was a lot. Not just for her, but for our whole family.
And it’s not like things were ever easy to begin with. We lost my dad years ago, so it’s always been just my mom holding everything together. She’s the kind of person who never complains, never asks for help, even when life throws the hardest punches. But even supermoms need a break. 🙏
During her recovery, I stepped up as much as I could, making sure she had everything she needed. But if I’m being real, it took a toll on me too. I had to put my content creation work on pause, and also hit a level of burnout I didn’t think was possible because I was also training for my upcoming races as an athlete. But life goes on!
This staycation is not just about a fancy hotel or a nice getaway. It’s about giving my mom something she rarely gets - a chance to rest, be taken care of, and enjoy a moment where she doesn’t have to worry about anything. 🥹
She’s been through so much, and I just want to see her smile without any stress in the background, and before she starts her chemo.
