    Where Else to Watch Kim Soo Hyun and Seo Ye Ji from It’s Okay to Not Be Okay

    It’s no secret that Kim Soo Hyun and Seo Ye Ji, who played Moon Gang-Tae and Ka Mun-Yeong respectively, put on quite the show in It’s Okay to Not Be Okay (Psycho But It’s Okay). The pair’s chemistry packed on the kilig for viewers and we’re honestly finding it difficult to move on from this drama!
    So if you’re still reeling from the end of It’s Okay to Not Be Okay, we’ve put together a list of Korean dramas and films Kim Soo Hyun and Seo Ye Ji have previously appeared in.     Kim Soo Hyun stars opposite Jun Ji Hyun in My Love from The Star. He plays Do Min Jun, an extraterrestrial being who came to earth 400 years ago, who starts an unlikely relationship with infamous Korean celebrity, Chun Song-Yi weeks before his trip back home. 

    2. The Producers

    Gong Hyo Jin, Cha Tae Hyun, Kim Soo Hyun and IU star in a Korean drama about the hectic events of filming, editing, meetings and politics at a South Korean public TV station. Kim Soo Hyun plays a PD (producer-director) for the variety and entertainment director of KBS.

    3. The Moon Embracing the Sun

    The Moon Embracing the Sun is a historical Korean drama that follows King Lee Hwon (Kim Soo Hyun) as he investigates the death of his beloved bride, Heo Yeon-Woo (Ha Ga-In), who passed just before she was appointed Crown Princess.

    4. Dream High

    Dream High is a high school drama that follows the extraordinary students of Kirin High School of Art as they strive to become superstars. Kim Soo Hyun plays Song Sam-Dong, a student who follows his childhood crush, Ko Hye-Mi (Bae Suzy), to Kirin High School only to discover his musical talent. 

    5. Dream High 2 (Cameo)

    Following the success of Dream High (2011), a second season featuring an entirely different cast for Dream High 2 broadcasted. Kim Soo Hyun makes a cameo at the first episode of the show as his original character, Song Sam-Dong. 

    6. Hotel del Luna (Cameo)

    With or without Kim Soo Hyun, Hotel Del Luna is a must-watch Korean drama featuring IU and Yeo Jin-Goo. Kim Soo Hyun makes a cameo in Episode 16, taking on a role that would be too big of a spoiler to mention!

    Kim Soo Hyun takes on a completely different role in the neo-noir action film, Real. He plays Jae Tae-Young, a man who struggles with multiple personalities and is a popular player in the criminal world. 

    2. Secretly Greatly

    In Secretly Greatly, Kim Soo Hyun plays Won Ryu-Hwan, a North Korean Special Forces trained guard who was deployed to South Korea to work as a spy. While waiting for his order from North Korea, he takes on the identity of Bang Dong-Gu, a goofy and mentally challenged young man. 

    3. The Thieves

    The Thieves is a Korean film about a group of professional thieves in South Korea. Kim Soo Hyun plays Zampano, one of the thieves in the team. After a successful robbery, they are offered a lucrative job in Macau by a legendary thief. However, when they arrive in Macau to proceed with the heist, it seems that every person is going in with a personal agenda. 
    Kim Soo Hyun also appears alongside My Love From the Star co-star Jun Ji-Hyun in The Thieves. 

    4. Father’s House

    Kim Soo Hyun plays Kang Jae Il, who is the son of criminal Kang Man Ho (Choi Min-soo). His father, who had to serve his sentence, was unaware that he had a child with a pianist Lee Hyun Jae. Father’s House tells the story of his journey through fatherhood.

    Korean Dramas

    1. Lawless Lawyer

    Starring Lee Joon Gi and Seo Ye Ji, Lawless Lawyer follows a gangster-turned-lawyer who bends the rules to fight injustice. Seo Ye Ji plays Ha Jae-Yi, a lawyer Bong Sang Pil (Lee Joon Gi) recruits for his new law firm. 
    Fun fact: Seo Ye ji was actually appointed an Honorary Police Officer at the 2018 Meeting of Broadcast/Film Producers Who Were With Police Officers event. This prestigious award was a result of her performance in Lawless Lawyer!

    2. Save Me

    Seo Ye Ji takes on the role of Im Sang-Mi in ‘Save Me’. The series revolves around four young men who take upon a task to save Im Sang-Mi, who is involved in a religious cult. 

    3. Moorim School: Saga of the Brave

    Unlike other academies, The Moorim Institute puts focus on teaching its students virtues, faith, sacrifice and communication with teachers and students from all over the world. Seo Ye Ji plays Sim Soon-Duk, the object of affection of two men, Chae Joon (Lee Hyun-Woo) and Wang Chi-ang (Lee Hong-bin), and attends the school in secret. 

    4. Diary of a Night Watchman

    This historical K-drama is set in the Joseon era, with SYJ playing the role of Park Soo-ryeon. Her character is depicted as a noblewoman who has her sights set on becoming the crown prince’s (Jung Il-Woo) bride.

    5. Hwarang

    Seo Ye Ji falls for Park Seo Joon’s character in ‘Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth'. In the historical Korean drama, SYJ plays Princess Sookmyung who resides with the hwarang under her mother, the Queen's orders.

    6. Super Daddy Yul or Super Daddy Yeol

    Seo Ye ji plays a supporting role in Super Daddy Yul as Hwang Ji-hye. The drama revolves around Cha Mi-Rae (Lee Yu-Ri) a single mother diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. With only one year to live, she seeks out her first love Han Yul (Lee Dong-Gun) and turns him into the best possible father for her daughter. 

    Korean Movies

    1. By Quantum Physics: A Nightlife Venture

    A nightclub owner, Lee Chan-Woo), decides to investigate a drug case involving a famous entertainer on his own. To help him he calls Sung Eun-young (Seo Ye Ji) and Park Ki-hun (Kim Sang-Ho) for help. 

    2. Warning: Do Not Play

    Seo Ye Ji plays the lead role of a rookie film director in Warning: Do Not Play. Her character Mi-Jung grows interested in a horror film that’s been banned from screening, but her search takes her through dark and unbelievable circumstances.

    3. Another Way

    Kim Jae Wook stars alongside Seo Ye Ji in Another Way. The film tells the story of Soo-Wan (Kim Jae Wook), a police officer who travels to Chuncheon where he meets Jung Won (Seo Ye Ji). The two both struggle life’s difficulties and make a suicide pact.

    4. Seondal: The Man Who Sells The River

    Seondal: The Man Who Sells The River revolves around a famous swindler team during the Joseon era. Their latest gig involves deceiving the most powerful man, Sun Dae Ryeon (Cho Jae-Hyun). Seo Ye Ji plays a supporting role in Seondal: The Man Who Sells the River as Gyu-Young. 

    5. Circle of Atonement

    Circle of Atonement follows a policeman’s discovery of his teenage daughter’s relationship with her teacher. This leads him to reopen an unsolved murder case from ten years back. Seo Ye Ji plays a supportive role in Circle of Atonement as Kang Yoo-Sin. 

    6. The Throne

    The Throne follows the story of King Yeongjo (Song Kang-Ho) and his son, Crown Prince Sado (Yoo Ah-In) whose differences shake their relationship with one another. Seo Ye Ji plays Queen Jungsoon in the South Korean film, the Throne.
