How to become a K-pop idol in South Korea

08:00 (or earlier) - Prep for the day
Your K-pop experience in Seoul starts early, depending on the time it takes you to get ready. You can start at 08:00 in the morning or even earlier!
To prep for your day following our K-pop itinerary in Seoul, jumpstart by stretching or doing light yoga to wake your body up. Then, get breakfast the way you like it. Go heavy or go light — you do you. You’re in for a day of being active, singing, and dancing, so it’s best to warm up and energize before leaving your accommodation.
10:00 - Record your hit song

Of course, K-pop stars are well-known for their vocals. Your actual K-pop experience in Seoul begins at  King Seoul Studio, owned by Engineer Noh Gwang-gyun. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to flaunt your vocal chops with a 90-minute recording and get professional vocal instruction for your chosen K-pop song.
Did you know that you’ll be working with sound engineers who actually worked with well-known K-pop stars? In fact, the owner has worked with countless artists, including TVXQ, Kangta, Baby VOX, and Wheesung. Where else to practice your growls, falsettos, and head voice, right?
Your K-pop experience in King Seoul Studio doesn’t just end with the recording. Depending on which package you get (they have packages for individuals and groups), you’ll get the actual recorded file, a printed behind-the-scenes photo, a lyric sheet, and an audio CD with a custom case.
12:00 - Have quick lunch nearby

Before heading to your next stop, you’ll have time to grab a quick bite nearby.
There are restaurants (Marcelle Bistro or Sushi Sakau) all over King Seoul Studio where you can buy a light lunch. You can also get an Iced Americano or any cold drink at a nearby cafe (Cafe Refuses or IMOYA) to keep you refreshed while outside. We recommend getting a sandwich or something to munch on along the way because your next activity is dancing!
13:00 - Bust out those moves

BTS’ J-Hope, BLACKPINK’s Lisa, SHINEE’s Taemin, EXO’s KAI. What do these idols have in common? Yes, you guessed it right — they’re well known for being dance machines. Most idol routines have outstanding choreography, so your K-pop experience in Seoul takes you next to a dance studio: Real K-pop Dance (RKD) Studio!
It takes less than an hour from King Seoul Studio to RKD Studio. Get on Line 6 Mangwon station, Exit 1, and walk about three minutes to the location.

Learn iconic routines step-by-step from actual K-pop backup dancers at RKD Studio who have worked with some of the biggest names in K-pop like Super Junior and IU. Dance to the beat and get tips on executing dance moves a la K-pop stars from the pros. At the end of the 90-minute dance sesh, you’ll be jigging like never before!
Take note that dance classes at RKD take place every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday only.
    16:00 - Click, click, smile

Your K-pop idol experience in Seoul wouldn’t be complete without having your own merchandise, such as photo cards and posters! Where else to get the best photos for that than with a pro photographer, right?
Flash those pearly whites and show off your best angle with an actual studio photoshoot at Sam Studio. No need to fret about your hair and make-up — they have styling services to ensure you look your best under the studio lights. Plus, they even have an on-the-spot photo post-processing session with the editor so you can receive your printed photos right away.

Don’t worry; you’ll get a soft copy of your photo, so you have the chance to restyle and resize your pics to produce your album cover, photo cards, posters, and other merch!
From RKD Studio, take Subway Line 1 and get off at Jonggak Station Exit 11. Walk towards the direction of Sam Studio from here.
    17:00 - Reward yourself

Congratulations! Your K-pop experience in Seoul has finally come to an end. What better way to cap off your adventure than to feast on one of the quintessential meals you should have while in South Korea: Korean BBQ! Even a K-pop idol should eat after all.
There are tons of Korean BBQ restaurants near Sam Studio, such as Yangyeonhwaro Jongno, Steel Pig Jongno, and Sukdal Dwaeji Jonggak, to name a few. Take it up a notch by turning it into a mukbang sesh as you munch on ssam, or Korean wraps, and heaps of juicy Korean pork and beef paired with a glass of soju. Yum!
Afterwards, you can return to your Seoul accommodation and get that well-deserved rest.
