Specialty Arabica Coffee Farm Harvest

A cool tour of the coffee plantation and scenic surroundings. It wasn't a classic boring tour, we learned a lot about both coffee and Vietnam in general. Sam is a great dude and we had a great time, like taking a walk with an old friend.

Lucky found to escape from the Tet crowd in town - spacious farm basecamp to learn about coffee Nd get some fresh air! Our guide was the owner himself, well-travelled entrepreneur knowledgeable for coffee farming, doing business in Vietnam and surrounding geography. As a city dweller it is fascinating to learn! Delightful healthy lunch is also served afterwards. Highly recommended to allow extra time if you want to go hands-on with roasting beans.

It was a really good experience. I didn't know that the coffee harvest had already ended, but I was glad there were a few berries left. The host, Sam, explained things so passionately that I lost track of time. It was so much fun and I recommend it!

The tour guide Mei was very professional and shared a lot of coffee expertise while letting me know more about Vietnam's coffee industry. The whole trip is great value for money, and the total time is about five to six hours. Those who want to participate are best able to drive a motorcycle by themselves. After all, it will be very hard to sit in the back seat for an hour and a half one way and a round trip of about three hours. It was a bit rainy on the day of my trip. A light raincoat was provided, but the temperature in Dalat in winter is only over ten degrees. I only had a thin down jacket which was not enough. Thank you Mei for kindly sharing the scarf with me. I picked the coffee myself, identified it, and after having a hot chicken soup lunch, I was taken to roast the coffee with charcoal, and finally brewed it with a Vietnamese drip pot. A very complete journey. It is suitable for those who like cycling and want to explore coffee.

Awesome guide! We had a great afternoon with Sam showing us the area. We tried some coffee cherries right from the tree, had a delicious cup of coffee and could even roast our own beans. Such a fun learning experience!
