Taipei Departure: New Taipei Car Rental with Driver to Jiufen/Shifen/Pingxi/Yehliu/Northern coast

Frank, our driver and semi–tour guide, made the entire experience genuinely enjoyable. He speaks English well and shared interesting insights along the way, which added a nice personal touch to the journey. We were traveling as a family with three seniors, and this tour turned out to be an excellent choice for us. The stops were mostly flat and easy to navigate, making them very senior-friendly. Frank was also incredibly attentive—he helped us in and out of the car and made sure everyone was comfortable throughout the trip. The vehicle itself was clean, air-conditioned, and stocked with complimentary water, which we really appreciated. The pacing of the tour was thoughtfully planned, with just the right distance between stops so our group could rest and recharge comfortably. Overall, the tour offered a wonderful mix of Taiwan’s coastal and mountain scenery, giving us a well-rounded experience. This tour was absolutely worth both the time and the money. My day trip with my driver/guide Howard was impeccable and fun! At the very start, he explained how the trip usually goes making me feel comfortable and stress free. We hired a car for the day and our driver was Eric. Eric was such an awesome person. He was an excellent driver and he was able to explain in great detail so much about every place we visited. Our list had included Shifen Old St. Shifen Waterfall, Jiufen snf Skyline Teahouse, Golden Waterfall, Color Houses, Yehliu Geopark. Not only was Eric able to get us to each of these places but he took us to some off the beaten track locations with an amazing narrative of the history of Taiwan and the northern region. We learned so much and now have a new appreciation and understanding of this nation and its people. If you book a car, you have to ask for Eric.

We had a wonderful experience with our private charter driver, Biaggi. From the start, he was very accommodating and professional. He arrived at our hotel even before the scheduled pick-up time and clearly explained the activities we would be doing for the day, which helped everything feel organized and stress-free. I had mentioned in advance that we would be traveling with my 84-year-old grandfather, and Biaggi was very thoughtful in making sure he was comfortable throughout the trip. He was patient, attentive, and always gave us enough time at each stop so my grandfather wouldn’t feel rushed. Biaggi was friendly, respectful, and made the whole experience enjoyable for our family. His driving was smooth, and he made sure we felt safe and comfortable the entire time. We truly appreciated his kindness and professionalism. Highly recommended!

My husband and I booked last minute a day before and our driver was Marco. He was prompt, friendly, and drove safely. He was informative and also gave us great suggestions for the Yangmingshan area. We had a fantastic day and would definitely book again.

Worth the price considering the distance between tourist spots, so we chose Route A. We opted for a private tour to have more time at each place. Our driver, Alvin, was very considerate—he gave us clear instructions, maps, and pinned meeting locations, and even allowed us to change our drop-off since we finished early. The only downside was the rainy weather, but overall it was still a great experience. 👍

Got the same driver, Marco, as our trip to Yilan, so having our own itinerary wasn't an issue. The weather for the day was the issue as it slowed all our plans down. In the end we still managed to get our "must-dos" in, except the sky lantern, but the rain was more the deciding factor on that. Marco was nice enough to find the easiest way to drop off and pick us up and Jiufen seeing that my leg was in an air-cast. As always great driver/tour guide/safety guide/photographer. We also took the same vehicle, and like before, had bottles of water provided. The car's temperature was also adjusted to a very comfortable temperature while it was quite chilly outside.

Thanks to driver Wang Sundeok, I got a lot of travel tips and had a comfortable and enjoyable trip! Thanks to the raincoat and umbrella I bought in Yeliu, my clothes stayed nice and dry~ It kept drizzling on the day we went, so we went on the Yespokji course excluding Jingua, but rather, the river swelled and the waterfall was a sight to behold!! I didn't post it in the review, but I was so happy that you took me to a red lantern company in Shifen that takes good pictures haha. Later, I was cold and tired, so I jokingly said that I didn't want to go to Jiufen, but the driver coaxed me to take a look anyway... haha. Thank you for creating memories that I won't regret later~!~!!

This experience was great!! My sisters and I were able to explore and enjoy different areas of Taiwan thanks to our lovely driver Biaggi 😌 We were able to hit every destination in our chosen itinerary plus the extra spot we wanted to go! Thank you Paul for the amazing service and adventure! Our driver Paul did an excellent job taking us to every spot in our itinerary. We went to Tiaoshi, Yehliu Geopark, Zhengbin Port, Houtong Cat Village, and Jiufen. The car was comfortable, Paul drove very well, he provided information for every spot, and gave advice on what to buy/eat. The service was truly excellent and made our last day in Taiwan memorable. I would definitely book again and request Paul due to his excellent skills. We started at 7:00 AM then ended at 3:00 PM. I would recommend this if you enjoy having a custom itinerary, more time in certain spots, a private tour, and a comfortable mode of transportation.
