Mount Bromo and Ijen Crater 2-Day Private Tour

Our three-day, two-night East Java volcano tour truly exceeded our family's expectations! We learned after booking that the Ijen crater was closed. The travel agency not only promptly informed us but also actively helped us adjust our itinerary, even adding the Madakaripura Waterfall, which turned out to be the most surprising and memorable part of our trip. The three-day, two-night private tour was absolutely worth it! We had a dedicated guide and driver with us the entire time. Our guide, Jiaxin, is a native Indonesian but speaks fluent Chinese, so communication was seamless. Along the way, he shared many stories about the volcanoes, culture, and local life, and he also took excellent care of our family of four. During the trip, my husband, who suffers from severe sleep apnea, had a very strong reaction to the high altitude. Jiaxin meticulously looked after him, especially during the climb up Mount Ijen, where he accompanied and supported him almost the entire way. This allowed me to focus on caring for our two children without having to juggle responsibilities between family members. His attentiveness and sense of responsibility truly touched us. (And we even saw the beautiful artificial blue fire at the volcano!) Throughout the journey, Jiaxin also adjusted the pace according to our family's condition, arranging timely breaks, helping us take photos, and recommending local delicacies, making the entire trip very relaxed and comfortable. At Mount Bromo, when we were delayed and missed breakfast, he quietly arranged for the hotel to save meal boxes for us, so we had food waiting as soon as we returned to the hotel – truly thoughtful. I must also commend our driver, Agus Botak. Every day involved long drives of over four hours, often on winding mountain roads in East Java, and sometimes even starting in the early morning. Yet, he was always energetic and drove smoothly, allowing us to rest comfortably in the car. For families traveling with children, a safe and reliable driver is incredibly important. What touched us most was that they didn't treat this job as a routine task; they genuinely cared for every traveler. These three days brought us not only beautiful scenery but also heartwarming human connection. This was the best travel experience I've had in Southeast Asia to date, which is why I'm writing this review so earnestly, hoping it can serve as a reference for others. From the travel agency's arrangements and the guide's professionalism to the driver's attentiveness, they left me with a wonderful impression of Indonesia. I will definitely recommend them to my friends and family. I also want to add that the cost of this private tour includes one meal, local guides for Madakaripura Waterfall and Ijen Volcano, all entrance fees, and necessary equipment, so there's no need to worry about additional expenses – it's truly worth it! ❤️

I highly, highly recommend this tour! My friends and I came to Indonesia primarily for the volcano tour. After seeing some negative reviews for another option on Klook, we chose this 'Cheap Bromo' tour. Our Chinese-speaking guide, Meixing, spoke excellent Chinese. She picked us up from our Surabaya hotel at 11 PM the night before. After about a two-hour drive, we switched to a jeep. I thought the jeep driver was very skilled; the mountain roads were extremely steep, especially in the dark, and his driving made us feel very safe. The sunrise view from Mount Penanjakan was absolutely stunning, and Mount Bromo was beautiful, perfect for taking many great photos! After the Bromo tour, we went for breakfast. There were many breakfast options, and the restaurant was lovely! Then, from the restaurant, we took a regular car to the hotel where we would rest. My friends and I were so tired that, even though the original plan was to eat before checking in, our guide helped us ask the hotel if we could check in early. The meals were then prepared for takeout, allowing us to get plenty of rest before heading to Ijen Crater! For climbing Ijen Crater, I recommend bringing a wool hat, a jacket, and comfortable non-slip shoes. You'll sweat a lot after a short walk, but it gets very cold and windy near the summit. At Ijen Crater, another guide, Sika, led us up. Sika's English was excellent. The mountain path was very challenging, and he constantly monitored our physical condition and was very patient! The only downside was that the route to see the blue flames was closed during our visit, but we did see the beautiful lake on the mountain. The driver who took us throughout the trip was also very kind and an excellent driver, allowing us to sleep well during the long journeys. My friends and I were heading to Bali afterward, and they dropped us off at the port around 9 AM, having already purchased our ferry tickets, ensuring we ended our trip safely and happily! So, a big thank you to this team! P.S. If you get motion sickness, be sure to bring motion sickness medication!

Had an amazing 2D1N trip to Bromo and Ijen. The blue flame was unfortunately not available due to local conditions, however seeing and walking into a volcano crater, admiring the blue lake & mountains nearby is already a mesmerizing experience. Tour guide Rizky and his driver had everything arranged so the whole trip went without hazzle 👍🏻

I do really enjoy my tour for 3 days with my tour guide Baroni. He is helpful and fun as well. overall the trip was carefree and easy, not to pack and have enough time to rest for the next day.

This trip was a wonderful experience! Our tour guide, Zy, was incredibly attentive and kind, taking great care of us throughout the journey and making us feel very comfortable and relaxed. Zy also thoughtfully took many beautiful photos for us, creating many great memories. We had a fantastic time on the entire trip! The only slight disappointment was not being able to take photos on the jeep this time, which meant missing out on a photo opportunity we had really looked forward to. However, overall, we were still very satisfied and truly appreciate Zy's care and dedication. We highly recommend him! 😊

This was a customized three-day, two-night itinerary. First, I want to commend the travel agency's flexibility: although the original hotel pickup time was 10:00 AM-12:00 PM, the agency specially arranged for a later pickup at 2:00 PM to accommodate our train schedule, which was a huge plus. I especially want to praise our local guide, Rizky. He was incredibly attentive, staying with us throughout the entire trip after picking us up from the train station. He explained every arrangement in great detail and with much patience. The biggest surprise was that he's also a 'photography master'; many beautiful photos were taken under his guidance. With him leading the way, we felt completely at ease throughout the journey. The accommodation matched the itinerary description. While one can't be too demanding about lodging conditions on a volcano, the basic facilities were very complete, and the cleanliness was satisfactory. After watching the sunrise at Mount Bromo, the itinerary allowed us to return to the hotel for a short rest before heading out again, which helped us recover our energy and prevented us from feeling overly tired. The only regret was that we happened to encounter an Indonesian public holiday when heading to catch the boat, which resulted in a long wait in line. However, this was an uncontrollable factor and unrelated to the travel agency's arrangements. Overall, I highly recommend this trip!

I loved everything about this trip. It was exhausted but worthwhile, nonetheless our guide ‘Baroni’ was so kind, friendly and helpful. He made the whole trip become something I would never forget. Loved it so much, I didn’t want to leave lol Definitely recommend if you have short times like me and I’ll one day come back!! 🌋🤍🥹

Worth the extra premium over other tours - our guide Laz and his driver were fabulous and everything was well planned and executed to a T Super friendly, down to earth, and knowledgeable. They brought us to less touristy spots, helped us take plenty of great photos, and made the trip such a great experience!
