Normandy D-Day Battlefields and Landing Beaches Tour from Paris

Fabricio was very informative, very accomodating and a very safe driver

we spent $500aud per person for this experience. The driver was doing 150km speed on the highway. the meeting location is dogy area infront of Arc de Triompe but at 630am there are loud youth groups around. we spent a short amount of time at each location but we did enjoy the tour. we stopped for lunch and we had bathroom breaks. we were back 2 hours early though. also driver washed van at truckstop during our drive. overall I would suggest to others to hire a car for the day and do it yourself.

1. Gave the wrong pick-up address, nearly missed the tour. 2. The van has a capacity for eight passengers (not including the driver), with two small seats next to the driver. Since I was the last one to come on board, I was asked to sit in one of the seats next to the driver. The guy I shared the seat with happened to be a big guy and would need to move into my space frequently. I was extremely uncomfortable during the hours we had to travel to and from Normandy(approx. 6 hours in total). The constant apology from the guy who sat next to me did not make it better either.

No hotel pick up! Wrote in to local operator at least a week ahead of time but no reply. Had to take the subway on our own at 5+ in the morning. Instructions for pick up were wrong (driver came at 0645h instead of stated meeting time of 0630h) leaving us to stand in the cold. The pick up point had no landmarks and was not sheltered. We thought we were at the wrong place until the driver pulled up at the road junction. Worst part of the trip was that the Overload Musem was closed in winter (until early Feb). This was NOT made known to us. It was a huge disappointment. The surprising thing was the guide himself did not know even though this fact was published on the museum’s website. In fact all the hotels and souvenir shops along Normandy Beach are closed in winter. The only good thing about the trip was that there were no crowds so photos were good. The guide was average. Have reflected all this to Klook and awaiting some form of refund. I would not have chosen this tour if I had known that the museum was closed.
