Multiday Tour to Mount Bromo and Ijen Crater from Surabaya/Malang

transport options: Our driver Dosi was very friendly and made our transfer to each location very smooth. itinerary: Prepare for irregular sleeping hours as we needed to wake up at 12am to drive to the location for sunrise. But it was worth it. tour guide: Each attraction had its guide. Shout out to our waterfall guide, Edi. He went above and beyond by constantly helping us take instagrammable photos and videos even though we didn't ask. At the end of the attraction, he even helped us to compile it into a ready to post video and sent us all 100+ photos and videos. attractions: Not for the faint of heart. There were steep hikes involved and was more adventurous than we had expected. Definitely watch some YouTube vlogs to get a sense of the fitness level required. accomodation options: Fluctuating quality. One of them was amazing as it was a business hotel. The other 2 had a good outside view of nature but also had bugs (which probably can't be helped since it's near nature)

The trip was well organized and we had great service and hospitality from our driver/guide Viko and his brother from start to finish. Do be prepared for minimal sleep on most days though, as there are many early mornings (as early as 11pm the night before!!) for this tour. However, the beautiful sunrise views do certainly make up for it!

overall trip was very much fun. our guide Figo was very helpful and informative. He guided us very well and gave lot of information about the whole trip. we had a very good time and would recommend this 100%.

Great tour experience with Mr Yong and Driver Dosi. Ijen was closed during our trip so we had to adjust our schedules. Luckily Mr Yong is very attentive and adjusted the itinerary according to our needs. Dosi is very punctual and brought us to some great locations for meals. Overall very pleasant experience and looking forward for next trip in Indonesia.

Big applause to our tour guide Gufron that always suggested where can get a good view of no matter is in Mount Bromo or Ijen Crater, and we took a lot of good photos from here! He is very helpful along the journey. And also Fauzi that being the second tour guide in Ijen Crater day trip, a very thoughtful guys that helped my parents down to volcano lake to see it in closer distance! Despite that included meals may need to improve, overall is good! Recommended ;)

The itinerary mainly consists of: checking into a hotel to sleep, departing around midnight, watching the sunrise and returning to the hotel for a shower and getting ready, and sleeping in the car in the afternoon while traveling to the next hotel. The package purchased was "Premium Accommodation," but the accommodation experience ranged from mid-low to high-end, with quite a large gap (one room had almost no windows and both bathrooms inside were leaking all night; another room had comfortable interiors, excellent service from the staff, and a very high-end hotel exterior). The meals provided by the hotels were generally good. They should be the best options in the area, after all, the location of attractions greatly affects accommodation choices. The tour guide was dutiful and responsive to all requests. At Sewu Waterfall, be careful of slipping when climbing from the top to the bottom of the waterfall. The Ijen volcano tour (price) includes a gas mask; (price) does not include glasses. The guide on the mountain helped find rented laboratory goggles, which were usable (mainly I think to prevent eye irritation from the smoke, those who are not afraid of the heat can bring sandstorm or snow goggles for more complete protection, but if they change color, be careful of your footing, as there is a good section of area and mountain road where you have to wear them); (price) does not include the "taxi" ride up the entire Ijen volcano, which costs IDR 1,000,000 (as far as I know at the time). Be careful not to wade into the water of the Ijen volcano crater lake, it has a high concentration of sulfates, beautiful color but corrosive. The Bromo volcano tour (price includes) a jeep ride, (price does not include) a horse ride back and forth for IDR 300,000 (as far as I knew at the time). Each activity has its own team leader and tour guide, and they will help with any needs. It is really tiring (waking up for sunrise every day is inhumane), but the scenery is beautiful, and the experience is moving and joyful! The entire journey is by van, the road surface is flat, and the tour guide drives steadily, but the vehicle itself seems to easily transmit vibrations. If you are prone to motion sickness, you should carefully consider this, as you will be in the car for 4-6 hours a day haha (vomit).

The itinerary is flexible. We arrive on a late-night flight on the first night, and they'll arrange a late-night transfer back to the airport on the last night. Because of our late-night flight, they specially reversed the itinerary. We were able to visit all the attractions, and the driver and tour guide Dosi were very friendly. There were extra experiences added along the way, such as trying local snacks. It will make you love Indonesia!

The tour was good. Well organized and quite flexible for the schedule. I do recommend this tour but below could be the tips for improvement: - food could be more localized, not like other countries cuisine. - better to observe the current situation to decide departure time for each spots. We almost couldn’t see the blue fire(photo 4). - better not to keep forcing customers such as writing review and visiting their office.

Very satisfied with this trip, the leader was very friendly and did his best to let you enjoy the best experience, the guide at each attraction was also very attentive, the hotel and transportation were very good, this trip experience was very satisfying and worth recommending.

We were picked up by tour guide at airport and rest of schedule are on time at a leisure pace. Flexible to accomodate our timing and allow us to enjoy the magnificent view of Ljen, Mt Bromo and Tempak Sewu. 4 of us had a great time and this trip was enhance by our guide Grufano. lots of laughter along the trip.
