Budget Land Tour in Siargao

Had a wonderful day again with Colz Travel, with Eden and Kim as our companions. The sites we visited are also quite unique with the Maasin River and the Secret Beach as my favorites. I would recommend this to future visitors of this beautiful island. Drone shots of Maasin River are a good investment too at 400 pesos. Thank you Colz Travel!

I recently went on a tour that included several of Siargao’s famous attractions, and overall, it was a great experience! We visited some incredible places like Sugba Lagoon, Magpupungko Rock Pool, and Maasin River. Each location had its own unique charm—Sugba Lagoon was absolutely breathtaking, perfect for swimming and paddleboarding, while the Magpupungko Rock Pool offered a fantastic spot for a refreshing dip, especially during low tide. The Coconut Trees View Deck provided stunning panoramic views of Siargao’s lush landscapes, and the Coconut Road Plantation was a beautiful stretch of road lined with endless rows of towering coconut trees—a perfect spot for those iconic Siargao photos. The only downside was that a couple of attractions had to be skipped due to capacity issues and weather conditions, which was a bit disappointing. However, our guide made sure to make up for it with extra time at the other spots and even took us to a hidden Secret Beach that wasn’t originally on the itinerary. It turned out to be a great surprise! The lunch provided was delicious and filling, served in a local setting that added to the authentic experience of the tour. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly, always making sure everyone was comfortable and having a good time. While it was a bit of a bummer to miss out on some planned stops, the tour was still a wonderful way to see some of Siargao’s best spots. I’d recommend it, but just be prepared for a bit of flexibility depending on the day’s conditions.

Highlights included the breathtaking Sugba Lagoon and Secret Beach, as well as the unforgettable lunch for just 200 pesos at a local carenderia, where we enjoyed delicious Filipino dishes. The human drone experience on Coconut Road was a unique thrill, and trying Tuway near Maasin River was a memorable first. This tour has deepened our appreciation for Siargao and its rich offerings. We highly recommend Colz Travel for a well-rounded and immersive experience.

I did this tour solo and it was such a great way to see Siargao in a day! Kuya Raprap was super helpful and even took photos for me at every stop. Medyo nagka-aberya lang sa simula— I was already waiting before 7AM but only got a text around 8:15, and I ended up getting on the wrong vehicle. But they still went out of their way to pick me up (thank you!) and I really appreciate their patience. Sorry din to the other joiners for the delay 🥲 Overall, sulit na sulit—beautiful spots, smooth trip, and hassle-free lalo na for solo travelers.

If you’re looking for a budget-friendly way to explore Siargao, I highly recommend taking the land tour with Kuya JR. He’s such a kind and accommodating guide, making the entire trip feel like you’re traveling with family. Even though some popular spots like Magpupungko and Sugba Lagoon are currently closed, Kuya JR still made the tour worthwhile by taking us to equally beautiful and unique destinations. We visited the iconic Maasin River and Taktak falls, the stunning Pacifico Beach, and some hidden gems off the beaten path. This tour is perfect for anyone who wants to experience the beauty of Siargao without spending too much. Even with some sites unavailable, we had an amazing adventure. The tour was amazing. All the places we’ve visited are breathtaking. I personally like the Sugba lagoon. The staffs are approachable and very welcoming.

Wonderful experience comprising a variety of sights and sounds - the guide Kuya JR was friendly and great at helping take photos for the various locations we visited. The itinerary was somewhat changed - maybe due to the weather which was somewhat gloomy throughout. Visited the plantation and river first before the lagoon and the falls. Reminder to bring along extra sets of clothing/towel as there are moments of water activities.
