Shared Transfers between Vientiane and Luang Prabang

Basically, I was able to move safely. It was a round trip, hotel pick-up - hotel drop-off. It seems to be done through an agency instead of dealing directly with the driver. (The contact is also from the agency) It seems that the agency and the driver did not communicate well on the return transfer, so I was picked up at the hotel, but I was almost dropped off at the bus station in Vientiane ( far from town). There happened to be other foreigners there as well, so we all protested and they took us all the way to the city (not the hotel), but it is better to check with the agency in advance as to where you will be dropped off.

The driver was really nice and picked me up on time from my hotel in Vientiane. The minivan was comfortable and the driver did a great job navigating some difficult roads up in the mountains. The driver didn't drop me off at my hotel in Luang Prabang as they said they would, all passengers were dropped off in the city and we had to then make our own way. Not a problem but they should have told us that when booking.

Loas should fix their country roads. I arrived at my destination alive and well.

In the introduction, it is said that “Hotel pick up and drop off” but actually just pick up at the hotel and no drop off. We got off at the bus station in Vientiane. We did feedback via Whatsapp but received no response

The train tickets were sold out, so I clocked in as an alternative. I got a call around the evening of the previous day and the departure time was changed to 7:00 a.m. I left on time and arrived in Luang Prabang around 3 p.m., and took a tuk-tuk to the accommodation. The 12-seater van was fully booked, with 75% locals and 25% foreigners. , rest at the rest area of the restaurant where we will have lunch.

It took 11 hours total from Luang Prabang to Vientiane. They didn't even take you to your Vientiane accommodation, and you had to pay for another tuk-tuk. Please take the train. The road conditions in Laos are bad, so you'll have a hard time. ㅜㅜ

Not worth even one star Klook, who was fooled by the word comfortable van, called at 6:40 to say it was a 7:00 pick-up, went down at 6:50 and waited, but came at 7:30. I picked up two more people and loaded up my luggage next to me and set off. I thought this was the end. Something absurd happens. The seat next to me was full, so I couldn't move. The driver, who was in a good mood, chatted with the foreigner sitting next to him excitedly. It was the worst. There is no. I was able to get to the accommodation by paying 40,000 kip in a tuk-tuk from there. It was the worst.

They sent me to travel with local people. The car stops so many times to pick up new passengers. It took more than 11 hours instead of 7 hrs 30min as suggested. The same local passenger told me that he paid 200,000 Kip (~USD 12) and I paid USD 27. Klook did not do anything wrong. The problem is the Van: if there are not enough tourists for the trip, the van should tell me that I have to travel with local people for a lesser price. If I am not agree, the van should contact Klook and let me cancel then choose another option (train or plane).

This was my 4th time to purchase from klook. And this is the only one I dissapointed. There're 2 timing to choose my pick up time from luang prabang to Vientiane and I choose the later one which is 12pm. But a day before I departure around 4pm, and I received a message from the management saying that there is no transport in 12pm so I need to change my pick up time to 8.30am which is after breakfast time. And it really affect my morning schedule as planned. Not only that, the minivan I took is actually go to vang vieng before it reach Vientiane and we need to transfer to tuk tuk and then go to the bus station to take another minivan. And it is a rainy day. All of us get wet and sick of this kind of arrangement. After all, the driver also cannot drop us to the hotel. And drop us at the bus station which we need to tuk tuk again and spent around 20,000 kip per person from the bus station to Vientiane.
