Review for: Sakitsu day trip tour

Get on the bus from Sakuramachi Bus Terminal and show your voucher to ride to Honto Bus Terminal. The journey takes about 2.5 hours. Although it takes a little longer, Amakusa has beautiful scenery along the way. Meet at Honto Bus Terminal and be led by a local tour guide for a tour around the Amakusa World Cultural Heritage. This tour guide will explain the whole process in Japanese. If you are not proficient in Japanese, it may be more difficult. From the museum and interpretation arrangements, you can feel the local people's cherishment of this history, which is touching. The sea and mountains of Amakusa are also very beautiful. There are not many tourists, and it feels like a secret place.

The Guide Lady was very nice. And she always tried to get everything in English for me. It was a lovely day thanks to her 🥰

The journey from Kumamoto to Amakusa City takes about 2.5 hours. The bus seats are quite spacious and comfortable. After arriving, we transfer to the bus for lunch. The tour guide aunt tried her best to explain the whole journey in English and Japanese with a serious attitude. She mainly went to two churches + Sanzhi There are four museums. The museums are not large in scale, but overall they are worth a visit. Please pay attention to the closing days of the museums before registering.

The guide was very nice. Even though we were only two foreigners in the group, she still always took good care of us and made sure we enjoyed it (which we truly were😆). The place was nice and peaceful. Hope more people have a chance to visit this amazing place and admire the history💕

The Amakusa sightseeing bus trip mainly went to 2 churches and 3 museums/archives. \nAlthough the exhibition hall is relatively small, the staff at the museum will carefully introduce the collections, and there are even more arrangements at the Sakizu museum. The staff specially introduced it to us one-on-one in English! \n\nThe Sakizu tribe realized how Catholics under the ban at that time secretly worshiped the Virgin Mary and the lives of fishermen. It is worth visiting! Especially I felt the human touch of the small village\n\nUgh...it's a pity that I couldn't fully understand what the tour guide said, but I felt that the tour guide really worked hard to introduce Amakusa, and the bus also took us to watch the beautiful sunset. The scenery, I will definitely sign up for a tour again! \n\nThe Amakusa Sakizu itinerary is recommended to those who are interested in the history of Japan’s prohibition of Christianity/Catholicism/the village*\(^o^)/* \nHowever, please note that it takes 2 hours and 40 minutes to take the bus from Kumamoto to Amakusa Honto (@_@;)

The introduction is detailed. Although it is only in Japanese, we try our best to explain it in English. The route planning is very good, which is very suitable for friends who do not drive.

You can learn about the historical background of the local Catholic faith, and the bus tour facilitates visiting different attractions, with a Japanese-speaking tour guide.

The journey is long and there will be a stop along the way to let passengers go to the restroom. Amakusa's churches have their own unique characteristics and history. The tour guide is very enthusiastic. I am the only foreigner in the group, but she can translate English with me. The weather was not very good on the day we went. If the weather was good, I believe the coastal scenery would be more beautiful. Lunch is at your own expense, reasonably priced and delicious.

Review for: Sakitsu day trip tour

We went as a family and were hesitant to book since there weren't any Korean reviews, but we decided to give it a try. Unlike other tours, we wanted to hear the explanations from a local guide. I booked it even though I don't speak Japanese, and it was surprisingly great ㅠㅠ. I was touched by the guide's efforts to communicate using a translator 🥺. Although the explanations were all in Japanese, so I couldn't understand everything in detail, they provided a paper in Korean? which helped to fill in the gaps ㅎㅎ. The travel time was a bit tiring as it was 5 hours round trip (especially with the heavy rain ㅠㅠ), but overall it was a worthwhile experience. Thank you!

Review for: Sakitsu day trip tour

We started from Kumamoto Station, so it took about two hours by bus to Hondo Bus Center, but we were able to see some nice scenery. Roadside Station Scarecrow Village Scarecrows that look like people at first glance are everywhere, doing farm work or taking classes, it was a fun place. It reminded me of what I learned in my school textbooks about the introduction of Christianity and the hidden Christians. The guide gave us a clear guide with handwritten explanatory diagrams. I'm glad I participated in this tour.
