[Depart from Kumamoto] Amakusa Wild Dolphin Watching and Juicy Burger Set

Absolutely amazing. This is one of the most valuable experience for me. Love the self guided tour process. I stated at one station hotel kumamoto, which makes it easier as the bus station no.5 was just beside the hotel. everything went smoothly, from the bus to mio camino. the fish burger was a bonus for me as I dont eat meat so having the fish option was nice. the dophin sighting was amazing, it was a 2 hour cruise. the staff made sure we saw so many dolphins. the kid in me was so happy. I took so many videos. the port was so modern, lots of things to do & eat whilst waiting. would definitely recommend!

A very good experience, at least a hundred dolphins, a large group circling the boat constantly. The Amakusa bus stop is right by the tourist area, very convenient. When returning to the port, the bus back to Kumamoto is already waiting at the station. The driver only stops for a maximum of 2 minutes, so you have to run after getting off the boat, otherwise waiting for 1.5 hours is a bit of an ordeal.

This was a product I chose after 고민 (gomin - agonizing decision making) for a family trip day tour. Seven adults in their 60s and 70s were looking forward to Amakusa dolphin watching, and we took the 9:25 AM bus to Mio Caminoue. The weather was nice, but I was worried about the wind. According to the schedule, we ate a hamburger set and went to the desk by 12 o'clock... only to be told that the tour was canceled because there were no dolphins. I contacted Klook, and they kindly explained that the cancellation refund would be processed as per procedure. As an alternative, they recommended a '4 Bridge Cruise? Tour' (2000 yen/person), so I decided to take the tour because it felt like a waste to have come all the way by bus. It was a refreshing and pleasant cruise tour, but I couldn't help but feel disappointed. There was a small note saying that dolphins cannot be seen during the winter season between November and March. If that's the case, I don't think they should have been soliciting customers at the end of October. In the end, I received a (4000 yen/person) refund for a (100,000 won/person) product, but after spending an extra 2000 yen on a completely different sightseeing expense, I felt a bit bitter. The souvenir shops, cafes, and ocean scenery near Mio Caminoue were worth seeing. It was good except for the fact that I couldn't do the main purpose, dolphin watching.

Please be aware that this is a self-guided tour. If a large group of elementary school students is heading out on a field trip, you might not get a seat on the 9:25 AM bus. Thankfully, I caught the next bus, which had staff directing and guiding passengers, allowing me to make the 1:00 PM boat.

A very relaxing trip. After a 40-minute boat ride, we saw many dolphins swimming freely on both sides. The seawater was very clear. The dolphin watching time was a bit short. The dolphins were lively and jumped out of the water, leaving no time to take pictures.

The first time, I got the names of two stations confused and got off at the wrong stop early. I had to take a taxi, which cost 3,000 yen, to get to the boat departure point.

Mr. Sun gave us a lot of information about Kumamoto Castle and the history of Kumamoto. He was very knowledgeable and provided many precautions to take during the tour. At the end of the trip, he also recommended some restaurants with local flavor. Thank you, thank you!
