⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ RECOMMENDED My very first itinerary in Chiang Mai. Used to work in a Thai resto before. Doing this cooking class was really fun and bringin back the memories. From a lecture in the market of the diff spices, and ings to be used up to the cooking class itself 'twas a very fun experience. We get to cook 5 dishes and able to eat and share everything. Shout out to Sky, she's good explaining the dishes and assisting us. And even our hotel was away from the location, they booked grab for us going back to our hotel.
Very friendly and funny staff, they picked me up at my hotel and also brought me back even though it was a bit outside of the center. Everyone could choose which meals they want to cook and they prepared and cleaned everything for us. I had so much fun.
I booked 2 sessions of cooking classes on 2 consecutive days as I had to split my family into 2 groups (due to childcare arrangement). I never regretted it as the cooking classes are a change of activity from the usual shopping and sightseeing. For this session, my husband, 5 yo son, my mother and mother-in-law attended it and I believe they really enjoyed it. Sky is really friendly and patient and very cheerful too. What I looked out for (when searching for cooking classes/schools) and liked, was that they had proper-height tables and chairs for dining which was a requirement for my mother-in-law, since she had bad knees and couldn't sit on the floor (some other cooking schools I went to before had the traditional low tables and cushions on the floor, which were great too, except that those weren't suitable for my mother-in-law). I would definitely recommend Yummy Tasty School! =)
Of all the cooking classes I’ve booked on Klook, this one is the best so far. Noodle was attentive without being overly critical; super fun and great value for money. An absolute must do while in Chiang Mai! We were very lucky to be her only students for that PM class. Everything we made tasted great. The market tour was also very fun and informative.
At 8:45 in the morning, we picked up all the students from the hotel and went to the market to buy spices and vegetables. The teacher was very fluent in English. He explained all the ingredients and was humorous and took care of everyone. Don't eat breakfast before going to class, otherwise you might be full after cooking five dishes. It's a very interesting experience! If you don't like too many guests and want to communicate more with the teacher, you can choose this one. The environment is not as good as the popular ones on the Internet, but it is clean and warm, and very cost-effective.
My group of 2 adults and 2 kids (6 yo and 3 yo) enjoyed the market tour and cooking lessons by Sky and Mind. The group size, including 4 other ladies, was 8 pax so it was just right and not overly crowded. I've been to other Thai cooking classes in Chiangmai and this time was mainly for my brother and my kids to try the activity. Sky and Mind were extremely friendly, patient and understanding, explaining things to us and answering our questions, including my kids' questions and remarks. =P Mind offered to help me cut and prepare the ingredients for my portion while I was busy helping my 3 yo girl with hers. I really enjoyed the experience and appreciate the support given by the 2 ladies.
The itinerary was the same, free hotel round-trip transfer, first took to the local market to shop, while buying ingredients while explaining, the place is spacious enough, clean, someone has prepared the ingredients, of course you have to process and season and cook, the teacher has been explaining the whole process, cook immediately taste their own work, a total of 5 dishes, it rained heavily that day, unexpectedly my friend and I booked the whole place, the teacher is full of smiles, people are nice, this experience is very satisfying
I had an amazing time. The guide was so professional and kind. she explained so well everything and I loved her sense of humor.
it was an enjoyable experience cooking and learning about Thai dishes. The instructor was really friendly and fun. this was a good experience.
This time I chose to participate in yammy tasty thai cooking. It was really great! It includes pick-up and drop-off services and you can choose 5 dishes (stir-fry/soup/appetizer/dessert/curry). The location of the cooking class is ventilated and comfortable, which is highly recommended.
