Reviews
This time, due to the small number of participants, only our group of five friends signed up for the tour. The travel agency initially asked if we wanted to switch to another Chinese-speaking tour, but we felt an English-speaking tour would be fine. So, the travel agency arranged for a Korean driver who spoke basic English to pick us up from our hotel and take our group of five to the activities. The entire travel experience was simply delightful and unforgettable. I must emphasize that the driver was incredibly friendly and attentive. Our luggage was a bit heavy, and he proactively helped us carry it. He recommended local snacks to us 😋. Knowing we didn't speak Korean, he meticulously clarified details with staff at each attraction and guided us to the correct entrances. For example, when we went luge riding, he accompanied us up the mountain, guided us through putting on safety gear, and showed us how to choose our luge track. Additionally, during meal times, the driver carefully asked the restaurant owner about the barbecue steps and even cooked for us himself, allowing us to savor authentic local cuisine. Therefore, I sincerely want to thank the driver for making our trip so enriching 🫶🏻🫶🏻🥹. Furthermore, we were extremely satisfied with the itinerary and attraction arrangements. It felt like transitioning from a city walk in Seoul to a local tour exploring mountains and rivers. Hwagae Garden was beautiful; there were no other visitors in the early stages of our visit, so we had the entire place to ourselves and could take photos everywhere. Although there was an extra charge to take the monorail up to Hwagae Mountain Skywalk, the scenery was breathtaking. With blue skies and white clouds, walking on the skywalk offered panoramic views of the countryside and a glimpse of the North Korean border in the distance. The locals were also very friendly; even with the language barrier, they actively tried to communicate with us. The monorail ride was also worthwhile, like a slow roller coaster with butterflies fluttering around (this is true, there were many butterflies 🦋), offering beautiful scenery along the way. Gyodong Yongri Market is a small market with a few shops selling traditional local snacks that are hard to find in Seoul. They offered samples to visitors without any pressure to buy. The Jeju yuzu rice crackers recommended by the driver were delicious and highly recommended for purchase! Regarding the food, although the quality was just average, being able to personally experience the local barbecue culture and taste authentic local dishes being prepared was worth trying. The driver's cooking skills were excellent; it was my first time tasting such delicious instant noodles 🥹😋. I really want to ask him for his cooking tips. The luge ride was really exciting and fun, but unfortunately, the itinerary only included one ride. We had to pay extra to ride it two or three times. It was clear that the entire trip was a local tour, with only locals and no other foreign tourists. I really liked this aspect, as it allowed us to truly experience the local culture and the simple, rustic charm of the countryside. There were also very few people at the luge, so there was no waiting in line, and we were able to ride twice quickly. Finally, I want to sincerely thank the driver again. His attentiveness and dedication created an unforgettable memory for our group of five. I truly thank the driver (I hope he sees this review) for silently and diligently taking care of us. Driver, thank you so much! 🫶🏻
The luge ride was a lot of fun! First, you take the cable car up, and the scenery is also beautiful. Along the way, there are several cameras that take photos of your luge ride. You can print one photo, and the rest can be downloaded. 👍 Our guide said it's available all year round unless there's severe wind or rain. We came in June, and the weather was great. The hillsides were covered in beautiful flowers. In winter, the hillsides are covered in snow. The Hanjeongsik (Korean set meal) was also wonderful, allowing us to experience various Korean side dishes. The Choyang Textile Cafe has beautiful decor, and their famous salt bread, coffee, and desserts are all excellent. The handkerchief stamping experience was also fun, but it's only 20 minutes, so everyone needs to be quick, haha. You can take it home as a souvenir. 😄 Many thanks to our guide today, Sammi, she was great!
Our family have a good time riding the luge and railbike which is the highlight for this day tour. My kids also enjoy feeding the sea gulls as well. Our tour guide , Rachel is very helpful and explain the iterinary in Chinese very well.
1. Itinerary Planning: The itinerary is extremely rich and fulfilling, with well-allocated playtime. However, it's recommended to add about 30 more minutes to the Songwol-dong Fairy Tale Village visit, allowing group members to take photos and check-in at the colorful murals. 2. Staff: Both the tour guide, Mr. Teddy, and the driver were very professional and responsible! The weather was quite hot that day, and the driver turned on the air conditioning in advance before the group members got on the bus, so that the group members could have a comfortable ride. In addition, his driving skills were excellent, and he completed the transportation between attractions safely and quickly! Special thanks to the tour guide, Mr. Teddy, for his dedicated help to the group members in the hot weather, such as handling attraction tickets, arranging lunch, and leading tour activities. Moreover, he especially urged the group members to pay attention to safety, drink more water, and avoid heatstroke. You could feel the tour guide Mr. Teddy's care for the group members from the bottom of my heart.
June hits different! we glide through yellow flower fields on the Ganghwa mega luge. Lunch stop at Songwol-dong Village. Quick detour to Sinpo Market (good to skip unless you’re into wet markets) Feeding seagulls on the ferry, so chaotic fun prawn crackers gone in seconds! Wrapped up with a great exercise , a scenic 40-min ride on the Yeongjong seaside rail bike totally different vibe from Gapyeong and we loved it! There’s a photographer here at Gapyeong who captures very good photos too. Big thanks to our guide Rachel for being so thoughtful & informative. (PS-A flag would be super helpful for guides in big group tours to spot them easily!)

It is highly recommended for people who are traveling to Korea with children or elders to sign up! You can easily take a tour bus to farther places, and there will be no shopping in this one-day trip! It's a whole day of fun! I highly recommend it after signing up for the first time. Even if it rains, the tour guide will adjust the itinerary so that we can enjoy all the itineraries! The time for each stop is just right! Wowpass is also recommended for people who are visiting Korea for the first time. You can get 10% back (equivalent to cash) by purchasing CU or oliveyoung e-vouchers on the app. You can also link it to Tmoney (similar to Taiwan's EasyCard) and use your credit card to top up in Korean won! (If you have a credit card with great rewards, you can also use your own credit card for other purchases) You can use the invitation code "Z5RWPEF9" when downloading and registering wowpass for the first time, and you will also get 0.5% foreign currency deposit cash rewards!
The slope roller coaster is fun, but it requires quite a bit of strength on your hands. The route is quite long and you can play for about 8 minutes. After that, we had lunch in Chinatown and then in the Fairy Tale Village next to it. The tour guide designated us to go to a certain restaurant because he wanted to tell us where the tour bus was parking. This arrangement was very strange because we had lunch at our own expense and I didn't understand why we had to be designated to go to a certain restaurant. We stayed at Xinpu Market for only 20 minutes, just like passing by and taking a walk, nothing special. Afterwards, we went on a boat to feed the seagulls, which was fun. There was a large group of enthusiastic seagulls. The boat ride was only 15 minutes. Finally, we went to ride the rail bike. On weekdays, two people can share a bike, so we are lucky enough not to share a bike with other group members.
This tour was a new experience for us. The luge and the railbike activities were our favourite part of the whole tour as we were trying them for the first time in our lives 😁. We actually wanted to visit Busan but was unable to, so this tour provided us with a great chance to see the seaside of Korea in Incheon. Taking the ferry and feeding the seagulls also reminded me of my home country Türkiye that I missed a lot, so I really liked it. The tour was not rushed and let everyone enjoy the moment. Our tour guide Rachel was so lovely and understanding. Even though we were the only English speaker guests, she provided adequate information and took good care of us. We were a bit late in the morning but she still waited for us, I'm really sorry and thankful for that. I was a bit hesitant to book this tour first but I'm glad I did it. It was a fun day with good activities :)
The guide is very nice and delivers itinerary and instructions very clearly. Very fun day! Got the chance to feed seagulls :D the rail bike was interesting! A 'U-turn' at the end manually and comes back the same way. Luge Route 1 was sooooo intense and fun really recommend!!!
