This is not your ordinary cafe! Cafe HOOT HOOT allows its patrons to enjoy the company of a beautiful variety of owls that live within it. The fluffy creatures are of various species and origins, absolutely adorable and quite friendly! Enjoy a sweet, hot beverage as you interact with the avian creatures, take photos with them, and even learn about them! The cafe is open until 11pm, so heading there to de-stress after a long day of exploration is a wonderful idea. Learn how to raise owls and the different varieties, and enjoy their company! All the owls have been raised by humans, and quite friendly. See the fluffy snowy owl (like Hedwig from Harry Potter!), the sharp tawny owl, the peering barn owl, the sweet mottled owl, and more!

Overall nice experience. Although all owls are either on top or hiding away from us. Owner tied one owl, so we are able to touch and take photos with it. Will come visit again.
The owls were so cute I’m in love omg they were so sweet, the old man was so caring and gentle and the free drink options were nice. I wish the barn owls were down a little so we could pet them.
Great experience to come to close to this nocturnal bird. Soft feathers to the touch and adorable. One drink included. No food menu.
Went to this cafe and noticed that the furniture are rather worn out. First time seeing owls up close and being able to touch them is very amazing! Definitely recommend if you like owls! They are so cute to look at and soft to touch
Just like the other reviews, the cafe reeks of really strong cigarette smell though I’m not sure who is the one smoking. You will get used to it after awhile as the smell is still bearable. Managed to see all the owls except one who is still sleeping!
A quaint, humble, and quiet place to chill with cute birdies, although the interior is certainly a little old and could be better maintained. As a pet bird owner, I can see the owls are all relaxed, and the ones we can reach are all happy to receive gentle pets or strokes on their heads. They respond to their names too, how cute! No signs of stress unless you are rough with them or try to scare them, so please be gentle! If they want to sleep they will fly up to the ceiling beams to rest. Sometimes they can walk around on the floor but other times they are tethered to the stand briefly so that guests can touch them, but there is obviously no torture or abuse, and they're not tied down for prolonged periods of time!! Please don't worry about that. The owner is a sweet elderly man who clearly adores and cares for these birds well. :) Recommended to go if you like to observe these magnificent beautiful birds in a chill setting. BUT be sure to manage your expectations and have patience - this is not a ritzy place, and there's a chance some of the birds will be sleepy and not too active. They can't be energetic all day for every single visitor, as with all other pets and humans :) There is a simple guide there that you can read to learn basic owl facts as well as the names and ages of the owls. Some small trinkets you can buy for souvenirs too. The owner is happy to answer questions (in limited English), just chat with him. :) There is a small toilet in the premises, it's simple but clean.
The old man at Cafe Hoot Hoot was polite and we could interact with the owls. However out of 5, 2 were actually perched high on the ceiling 😅 I didn’t mind tho, because I got to interact with the other 3.
The owls are really cute. The staff is friendly and speaks good English. You can touch the owls for free but you need to pay an extra ¥500 to let one owl perch on your arm. There is no time limit as to how long the owl can stay on your arm, so you can take lots of pictures.
My partner and I visited Cafe HOOTHOOT for an hour long session and the time absolutely flew by, it was such a nice atmosphere and the owner was really lovely, we will definitely go again
The boss is very considerate in giving Chinese menus, and the service is also very friendly. The overall environment is really not that good. There are only about 5 owls, and only 2 can be touched. Even though they are large owls, the boss is also attentive. Tell the owl which places are not allowed to be touched, so people who want to go can think about it😀😀
