Mount Batur Black Lava or Sunrise ATV Quad Bike Tour in Bali

The first time for me to play ATV and directly in this black lava field. very fun, assisted by a guide who is ready to help and document photos / videos. if you visit Kintamani you must try this activity. very exciting

Chose the Mt Batur sunrise ATV Trip. The ATV ride on the dirt track in the dark was fun. The view was beautiful, even though it wasn’t as high up as the Jeep lookout, but at a view point lower down. Staff were friendly and helpful, getting us out when our ATV got stuck in the dirt at times. Timing was perfect and we saw the sunrise while eating a simple breakfast provided by staff. They also let us play around with the ATVs in an open space after watching the sunrise, which was fun. The staff also took us to explore some nearby lava caves as a bonus interesting sight. Our Driver Koko was excellent and also took us around for other sights on the way back to our hotel and recommended authentic and cheap places for lunch. Very grateful to the kind and thoughtful staff and the smooth & enjoyable trip. If you are used to modern toilets, we recommend to make use of toilet facilities before ascending to the ATV meeting point because facilities on the mountain don’t have toilet paper or running water.

One of the best experiences that we won't ever forget. Everything was well prepared and included in the package. We had an English-speaking driver to pick us up from the villa, assist, and do some introduction about the activity. The ATV was also beginner friendly and throughout the activity, we were guided by professional tour guides who would also assist and tell us which place had the best view to take pictures. After the ATV, we had a breakfast session with a sunrise view. Overall, it was a highly recommended activity to do in Bali.

The best activity during my trip! Had lots of fun. Driver picked us up at 430am as our villa was in nusa dua, he was early and waited for us. We had a smooth journey to the base where he offered to stop us along the way to see the sunrise view and helped take photos and told us about the different mountains. He then Brought us to the atv site where we could choose freshly brewed coffee / tea and prepped for our atv. Had a warm up and up we went. Route was very exciting and we got to many spots for photos. Jhon was very nice to take lots of photos for us and even video us during the atv ride. It was a very private ride and we did not have to wait for others nor did we see any crowd. We had a great breakfast with a view too. After that we headed to the coffee plantation and there was no hard selling. Overall a great experience I highly recommend. Better than the jeep ride or trekking up! Best atv ride with a view! And you don't have to worry about the heat as its cold up in the mountains.

Rama Andika Palguna- The best guide we could ask for. We went in early at 7Am in the morning. He greeted us with a coffee and explained the safety measures and the atv controls before the journey. We started the journey to the Mount batur black lava and rode their for around 1 hr, the place was magnificent. After that we went into the forest and rode there for around 30-45 mins before we came back to the meeting spot. All in all the best experience for me and would totally recommend this rather than the normal ubud atv rides.

The ATV ride through Mount Batur’s black sand was thrilling and fun. Our guide was great — always checking on us and gave us around an hour to explore freely on the black sand. The views were stunning, and we saw sunrise hikers, jeeps, and dirt bikes around too. After the ride, we had a nice breakfast, then visited a coffee plantation. We got a short tour of how the coffee is made, tasted a variety of local coffees and teas, and had a chance to shop at their store. Great mix of adventure and local culture. Highly recommend!

Our guide Koko was so kind and helpful! It was a 2 hour drive from our place to the mountain and he got us there safely! We arrived to the ATV center, and the staff briefed us on how to drive it and notice of other safety precautions. I suggest going there in comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dust or the black lava rocks on you.., also a pair of sunglasses to prevent the dust getting in your eyes~~ there are some rocky roads when driving the ATV so be careful if you happen to get stuck from it but don't worry because the guide will be right there to help! It was fun and we had time to play and walk around the field of the mountain. We felt like little kids again driving the ATV around 😂 THE VIEWS WERE GREAT so you can get some great photos up there! Then we had breakfast at nice place with a view of the mountain and finished up with coffee tasting which was a great finish!~

Highly recommend. Our guide Adi is friendly and very experience. He knows the route very well. He brought us thru short-cut to avoid the traffic. The car ride was smooth as his car was so spacious and well kept. He introduced us to some balinese music too. The ATV experience is exceptional. We had so much fun. The ATV guide Arun and his partner are so skilful. Special thanks to Arun whom is not just the ATV guide but also our photographer and videographer. He is so creative in composing the photos. Grateful to his patience and laboriously helping us to get out of the tough terrains. One of the ATV track that will not get us wet and muddy but dusty though. We really love the almost 2hours of fun. Adi also brought us up the mountain for a nice lunch. Cool weather, companied with good food with astonishing photo taking view. We stopped by a coffee plantation to taste nice coffee samples. Have a chance to taste the raw Cocoa fruit which is tasted sweet sour like soursop.

5 star activity. highly recommended. Our driver Jadil and atv guide Rahman were both awesome!! we were both well taken care of during the 3 hours return car trip and about 2 hours atv ride to the mountain and thru' the farm forest. Rahman will keep looking back to ensure our safety and take videos for us. we had lots of fun. get to try different flavors of coffee and tea, nice experience. aside, body may aches the next few days depending on individual.
