Borobudur Sunrise (Hill/Temple with Climb) & Prambanan Temples Tour

Our tour guide and driver, Romy, was excellent. He was very communicative, and our interactions were clear. Since our tour started very early in the morning, he never showed any signs of fatigue throughout the day, which was very professional. At the end of the tour, he even took me to a local restaurant at my request so I could try Yogyakarta's special gudeg. It's a shame the clouds were quite thick on the day of our trip, so we didn't get to see a perfect sunrise. However, the temple explanations and the temples themselves were still beautiful and awe-inspiring. How could anyone visit Yogyakarta and not see these two World Heritage sites?

A great day out, in no small part thanks to excellent driver and car. My driver, Udik, was friendly, patient and knowledgeable, and a very smooth driver. He ensured that the day went well, making for a very enjoyable experience. The temples we visited were brilliant and a must see. We also found time to stop at some great local sites, including for Luwak coffee - delicious!

Borobudur - bucket list checked! ✅ To those who wants to go visit Borobudur, I highly recommend you go up to the top, the stupas and the views from the top are beautiful… Prambanan was just as beautiful as was the sunrise at Puthuk Setumbu. Our driver, Ahmad was amazing, he brought us to good restaurants to have lunch/dinner, some of the dishes, I have never heard of but it was good, really felt like a local.. We had an amazing time in Yogyakarta, will definitely be back in the near future…

Pickup was punctual and the car was clean and comfortable. We were afforded adequate time to spend at each attraction and our driver, Mr Juna recommended a nice restaurant that served local food by the paddy fields for lunch which was very near Prambanan temple.

I enjoyed visiting Borobudur and Prambanan temples. The stops in between for meals were excellent and gave a great taste of different Indonesian dishes. I appreciated having a guide at Borobudur who explained the history and symbolism; it made the visit more meaningful. I do wish we had a guide at Prambanan as well, since we mainly wandered for about 30 minutes without much context. Clearer instructions at the tea-viewing stop would also help, as I was unsure how long we were meant to stay. Aside from that, everything was well organized. Our main guide was very friendly and attentive, ensuring smooth transport and that we arrived safely and on time. Overall, a wonderful and memorable experience that beautifully combined culture, food, and history.

I had an amazing experience thanks to Udik. He was not only professional, but also incredibly kind and patient throughout the entire trip. He took me to Punthuk Setumbu, Borobudur, and Prambanan Temples, and what stood out to me was his calm energy and his willingness to help me fly my drone. He even captured some great footage and photos for me. The journey felt smooth and stress free, and I never once felt rushed. If you’re visiting Yogyakarta and looking for a reliable, respectful driver, I highly recommend Udik.

The driver arrived promptly at 3:00 AM at the hotel entrance to pick us up! He drove safely throughout the journey, getting us to the foot of the mountain before sunrise! He also managed the time well to take us for breakfast! Then, as soon as the Borobudur attraction opened, he took us into the park, making for a very fulfilling day! Finally, he safely dropped us back at the hotel! Highly commendable!

It was a good experience. Udik was a very accommodating driver/guide. The tour was interesting. Borobudur was a dream come true. You will learn your history.

The booking and contact of the trip was very simple. Although I had to get up early in the morning, it was worth it when I saw the beautiful sunrise! The itinerary includes two world heritage sites. If you want to climb to the top, you can buy tickets directly from the driver. After lunch, he took us to taste free musk coffee. I think the itinerary is worth the price!
