Review for: Day tour

Highly recommended if you want to go to Shirakawa-go. Our tour guide was really helpful and patient in answering our questions. He also shares brief history of the place in 3 different languages!!! (Chinese, English, Japanase). The original itinerary was supposed to be Gujo Hachiman-Takayama-Shirakawago but it was so traffic so he decided and recommended to go first to Takayama (to take our lunch)-Shirakawago-Gujo Hachiman. If we follow the original route it will sunset or already dark once we arrived at Shirakawago and I think it was not ideal to take pictures at night.

Get to explore out of Nagoya City. Friendly tour guide Wang Jie with lots informative and suggestions. Just Rem to take pictures or save location of the drop off bus parking so that u can returned on time. I think many like to explore and lost the way to come back. We almost lost the way as well.

This one day tour to Gujo Hachiman, Takayama and Shirakawago was a perfect choice for our last day in Nagoya. Wang, our tour guide can speak Japanese, Chinese and English so we could enjoy our trip in diverse participants. Although it was a shower in the morning, but the tour was running well and smooth, with all the participants were on time all the time. Really enjoyed this group activity!

Although in the older aged group we managed the walk to castle but time constraint once you managed the 360+ stairs. i suggest you use roadway but a little longer. Believe what this tour is about and enjoy the village. A little snow around but would be even better with snow. eating options good throughout and stops well planned. Definitely a 4.5 experience.

Enjoyed this trip with my wife, visiting three wonderful locations. But we were not able to explore Takayama since we were only allowed 1.5 hrs instead of 2 hrs. Anyway, we love Japan and thanks Klook!

Due to the traffic jam, the time for Takayama and Gassho Village was compressed by half an hour each. It was a pity that we were unable to visit Hie Shrine in Takayama and the big house in Gassho Village. Due to the temperature and humidity, there happened to be significant snowfall in Koriyama Hachiman that day (and the temperature started to rise sharply the next day, which may be the last one). The white-stained Kojoyama Hachiman Castle is really beautiful, especially For me, the first time I saw snow. (Walking on it feels like you are stepping on ice) When you go to Takayama, you must eat Hida beef. The beef tastes very fragrant, and the A5 skewers have a more fat aroma. Unfortunately, I did not find a store with a sake vending machine. There is still enough time in Gassho Village to reach the observation deck and overlook the settlement surrounded by mountains. On the way back, we will pass by a rest area selling Gifu and Hida specialties (but we bought them at the Mikawaya Honten in Takayama). The tour guide Wang Jie is familiar with Chinese, English and Japanese and also provided a lot of suggestions for visiting. (Ex. How to get to Gassho Village Observation Deck more smoothly), he is a very kind and serious little boy. This trip was a bit regretful because of the heavy snow, but it also left unforgettable memories amidst the falling snow~

Great experience! The tour guide is very reliable. Thanks to the puntual driver, the trip was smooth and arrived at each destination slightly earlier than scheduled, so we could have extra time. The only negative thing was the noisy tourists behind our row on the bus, but that has nothing to do with the tour. The overall experience was pleasant and wonderful.

This tour takes to 3 different locations in one day which is great. If we only had like another 15 minutes in each location, then it wouldn't feel as rushed to get through each town. Shirakawago should definitely be on everyone's itinerary so this reasonably priced tour can make that possible! The staff was very friendly, the bus was clean, I really enjoyed this day tour

efficient tour! started at 815, went to Gujo Hachiman, very pretty nostalgic town. strolled to the castle and canals for about 1hr, went to Takayama for lunch, we had about 1.5hr for lunch. the guide recommended food for us to eat at Takayama and places to go. the Hida beef is amazing! and went to look at the sake brewery too. final stop was at Shirakawa go. we stayed here about 1.5 hrs. went to the castle viewpoint, and tried the pudding recommended by the guide. its value for money and efficient if you have a short time in Japan, and u need to be really efficient at each stop to catch all the sights. felt abit rushed, but value for money, without tour cant cover all these sights by train in a day.

Wang Jie is an amazing guide - proficient in Mandarin, Japanese, and English. From bus logistics to the places, the execution was seamless. As a testament, 3 locations in a day is extensive and the bus usually departed 5 minutes within time. We were given the freedom to join him / roam around and to do different activities, he ensured that everyone was complete and comfortable. He is a hardworking guide, we happily tipped him after the tour as well. Would recommend this tour to fellow travellers on a trip to in Nagoya!
