we booked this because its cheaper than hiring a private car but skeptical because its mandarin speaking. so we thought it will be alright since it will just follow an itinerary. but as soon as the driver arrives we were greeted with the most friendliest driver in Taiwan and he tries to speak in English. so that matter is not even a problem. he takes our photos too. so yes, this package is worth it. for future voucher buyer, i hope u manage to get Mr. Zhang as your driver. 4hrs is alright. we even hiked the trail at Takoro Gorge for an hour. highly recommended this one.
very nice driver, very kind to explain the history of tourist spots/hualien to us. able to accommodate our ad hoc plan in hualien city. just that regretful that taroko gorge not fully operational yet.
We had a fantastic day exploring the breathtaking beauty of Hualien, guided by the remarkable Mr. Jun Hao, who is perhaps the best local tour guide we could have asked for. Despite his modesty in claiming that his English isn’t good, he effectively communicated with us throughout the day, ensuring we didn’t miss a single must-see spot in the area. His deep knowledge of Hualien's culture and history enriched our experience, as he shared fascinating stories and insights at each location. From the stunning coastline of Taroko Gorge to the vibrant local markets bustling with life, every moment was memorable. We eagerly anticipate our next visit, hoping that the Taroko trails will be accessible for tourists, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the area's stunning natural wonders once again. The warmth and hospitality we experienced made our trip truly unforgettable.
The coastal tour is beautiful and fun. We arrived at hualien in the late morning so could only start the tour at arnd noon. Sad that we can't maximise it cos the sky was dark by 5ish/6. We ended the tour earlier since the starbuck was closed during cny and it was raining at night and we can't visit the park and night market.
Hualien Taroko National Park is a breathtaking natural wonder. Its towering marble cliffs, deep gorges, and pristine waterfalls create a mesmerizing landscape. The park offers a variety of hiking trails, allowing visitors to explore its beauty up close. The serene atmosphere and rich biodiversity make it a must-visit destination for nature lovers. However, due to its popularity, it can get crowded at times. Overall, Hualien Taroko National Park is an awe-inspiring place that will leave you in awe of Taiwan's natural beauty.
I made a reservation with a Chinese driver and he contacted me via KakaoTalk the day before the tour. They tell me where to get out of the station and check the time again.郝坤城 (I turned on the translator to see Hao Kun-cheng) I guess that's the driver's name. They came to the station in advance and waited for us. During the tour, they explained the geography well using a translation app and took pictures, so there was no problem with communication throughout the tour. It was a three-generation family trip with my parents, there were 8 people, and we booked a van and there was no inconvenience and I was satisfied with the tour. I did. I made a reservation for 4 hours and added 1 hour (500TWD) to take me to the course I wanted from 11:30 to 4:30. When I left, I said I wanted to go from Cheongdanae because the weather was nice, and since clouds were gathering in the canyon, I decided to go to the place I wanted later. They said it might be closed so we asked to go first from the canyon. We went on the itinerary of Tyruge Pyro - Sanwol Cloud Bridge - Yeonja-gu - Gugok-dong - Jangchun Temple - Cheongsu Bridge. It really started raining at the end of the tour, so the scenery of Cheongsu Bridge was disappointing, but it didn't rain while we were in the canyon. I'm satisfied with it. My parents had bad knees and backs, but they were able to move around well during the tour and they thought it was really cool. At the end of the tour, I asked them to take me to a hotpot restaurant near Hualien Station. They walked around Hualien Station and dropped me off at the hotpot restaurant and said I could walk this way to the station. You were kind until the end. I recommend a Hualien tour with a Klook Chinese-speaking driver.
Our driver 张俊伟 was very a patient and humble person. He is a joyful, chatty, careful driver and we were very happy that he is our driver for both days trip-Taroko gorge and East coast Drive. As we spent too much time on photo taking at Taroko-Baiyang waterfall/Cave of water curtain, due to the beautiful scenery, we were not able to cover many attractions. The East Coast Drive scenery was breath taking too. 俊伟 patiently explain the history/landmark along the drive. We will be here again to visit the Taroko gorge. It is always a good choice to have private drive tour.
It was such a wonderful day with our drive Jiang. She takes the times to take us to the most beautiful spots to see in Taroko gorge. We known that it will be difficult to see everything in one day. At the beginning we have hesitated to rent a motorcycle or take a tour guide. But with our driver it was much easier to create our custom itinerary with some of her recommendations. I will definitely recommend to take a private driver to enjoy as much as possible Taroko gorge if you don't stay a lot of day in Hualien.
Driver contacted via WhatsApp one day prior to pick up. He gave car details and confirm pick up at given address. Interesting and amazing place to visit. However due to entry time restrictions, during this period of repair works, we had a swop around of location sequence. Driver initially requested for additional charge for visiting Starbucks, which is in route. Not too sure where the miscommunication is, as it is part of route and NO additional charge stated anywhere. ESKIMO eSIM REFERRAL CODE SOO10580 FOR FREE 500MB. Additional data can be purchased on Klook too. Stable connection for Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Japan, Hong Kong, India, Turkey, Switzerland, Amsterdam, UK and even Norway!
The driver uncle would contact me a day beforehand to let us know where he parked. He is also informative, telling us the stories of destinations and recommended us many good places to visit in Hualien.
