The park is huge and it’s best to visit on weekdays when it’s less crowded. The park have few areas to go for like one piece and ultraman. The shows are definitely worth watching, especially the dolphin and orca shows. Be sure to check the show timings at the entrance when you arrive. We booked our tickets through Klook and the process was smooth and hassle-free. Kids below 1.4m (around 3–4 years old) can enter for free.
Bought ticket from Klook & scan QR to enter the park on the day. Worth to come, the park are very huge so suggest to spend 2 days if to explore activities in the whole park (there is a hotel that can consider to stay overnight). There is also occasional seasonal ticket discount promotion. Many performance/shows inside eg. orca, dolphin, sea lion… , staffs are very friendly and helpful. Facilities like restaurants, food stalls, toilets are available inside the park. just be aware not to entertain or buy raincoat or shoe covers from those standing & waiting at entrance as there’re seats that can avoid water splash during the shows.
The park is very large and offers a wide range of activities. However, for younger children (under 120 cm), there are fewer rides they can enjoy. There are many shows, all quite spectacular with impressive lighting, sound, and production. That said, if I compare it to shows in Thailand, those tend to feel more exciting, with animals performing a wider variety of tricks. Still, the shows here are very good overall. The park itself is spacious, and there is also a cable car available. It costs 35 yuan per person, but you can ride it as many times as you like. The downside is that it’s quite far from downtown Shanghai, and transportation costs can be high. The entrance ticket is also not cheap—roughly comparable to visiting Shanghai Disneyland. However, the crowd is much smaller, so you don’t have to deal with heavy congestion.
One of the reason i want to go to China Shanghai cuz i want to watch Orca Show and im so happy !! the place is big and the ride is so fun !! clean and organized i wish more english translate for the shows but its okay asl ong i see my fave Orca not to mention the mermaide show is so amazing and fun to watch 🩷🐋🌞💙
We enjoyed our day at this park right next to Shanghai Snow World. We were a family of six with kids aged 5, 9, 15, and 17. The park was not too crowded which is super nice! PWD concession was not honored for those on the spectrum during our visit, so it is better to just book tickets on Klook. The park itself is great overall, but navigation was challenging since there is no English map and show schedules vary daily. Schedules are posted on WeChat and mostly in Chinese. There are add on experiences like the cable car (25 RMB) and animal feeding. We fed koi fish and seals (30 to 60 RMB). There is also an orca photo opportunity after the show for 299 RMB for up to 4 people. Staff will use your phone or camera and you only get about 10 to 15 seconds. Staff were helpful, but because of planning and navigation we missed the penguin and dolphin shows and only stayed about 5 hours. I recommend spending a full day to enjoy everything. We still loved it and would come back.
This park was the best show of sea life we had ever seen. such a huge park. At the same time we loved the beluga whale show and the killer whale show. Animals were well taken care of and the staff was also very helpful. The food was also very nice. highly recommended.
I made a special trip from Taiwan to Shanghai, and originally booked a hotel and Shanghai Disneyland tickets through Klook. Later, I wanted to go to Ocean Park and found that Klook also had tickets, so I planned to buy them together, which made payment and ticket checking very convenient!! Moreover, it's very convenient to enter directly by scanning the QR code!! It's about 46 kilometers from Shanghai city center ~ a one-hour drive. It's a very suitable attraction for families. It's better to spend a whole day here to have fun and relax. There are a lot of great shows to watch. The orcas are really handsome and cool, super shocking. The beluga whales, walruses, and other performances are also great. The polar bears, arctic foxes, sea turtles, etc. are all worth seeing. There's also the Ultraman Museum Park, which kids love. There's also a playground in the back. Inside, there are also Ba Wang Cha Ji and Heytea drinks, which can satisfy adults' cravings. The overall park is very large, and there's also a dinosaur museum (although they are all model toys, etc.), but it can give children a half-hour exploration trip. It's great for discharging energy and taking photos for a walk. There are cleaning ladies cleaning at any time. I think it's very comfortable to play (except that there are too many people smoking, there's no way to avoid that). When leaving, I called a Didi. There are people waiting for cars at the park entrance, and the traffic police will also help call out car numbers, so it's OK.
