Overall a fun experience. It is advisable to go in the morning because the animals are less active in the afternoon when the weather gets too hot. Don't forget to bring your umbrella and sun protection.

We had a wonderful family experience at Taipei Zoo! The zoo is huge, clean, and very well-maintained, with so many animals and attractions for kids to enjoy. Our children were excited the entire day, especially seeing the pandas and riding around the different areas of the zoo. We also appreciated how organized and family-friendly the place was. This is a must do day trip in Taipei with easy access via mrt. The zoo ticket is so cheap that I wonder how the zoo covers their expenses. Maokong is nice with tea houses/cafes and also one may take a stroll to see the tea plantation with view of Taipei city from bird’s eye view.

taipei zoo exceeded my expectations. this is way too cleaner, bigger than ueno zoo in japan. my son really enjoyed the entire park. he had so many interactions with the animals like birds, desert animals, amphibians, etc. definitely worth to visit.
