If you land at Kix Airport and want to visit Nachi Falls, buying this pass is worth it. Ride from Osaka, go around Wakayama, then go to Nachi, go to Kumano Taisha, go to Mie, then circle back to Osaka. Or you can end up in Nagoya and continue your trip there. This route is easy to travel, not many people, suitable for people who like nature and temples.
if i travel back to Japan, i will be booking again this JR pass. i got to save a lot of money. i travelled to many different places like Nagoya, Osaka, Nara, Kyoto and vice versa. it is good for visiting UNESCO World Heritage Site. I had over 10 sites visited in 3 days time. Also there is room for making mistakes at any JR station. No need to worry about fare adjustment.
Easy to redeem and use. Plan your trip to take advantage of the buses and the four times you can book the JR Nanki Limited Express. I went to Kii-Katsuura and visited shrines along the Kumano Kodo (without walking the full route) plus Kawayu Onsen. Finish by taking the train to Nagoya like I did or back to Osaka.
This is the second time I bought this pass. with the recent JR pass price hike, this pass actually didn't go that high. it's very good value. we love the Kii peninsular, there are so much rich culture and world heritage sites, so many nice onsens, lovely scenery, and wonderful food. it's still relatively " unspoiled " by over tourism. highly recommended
It's a must one-stop pass for people wishing you to explore the circle route of Osaka-nagoya-Mie-Wakayama-Osaka. it's so affordable and time-saving. You can enjoy from the view of coastal shoreline along the Pacific ocean, the scenic Nachi falls, and so on. The redemption was easy as well. highly recommended.
When I arrived at Kansai Airport, I went directly to the JR station to redeem it. It was very fast and convenient. I used this pass to go to many places: Kumano-Wakayama-Wakayama City-Shirahama-Shingu-Osaka, and some bus stops, Maomao Kishi Station It’s all included, no need to buy extra tickets, it’s worth it~ Japan’s transportation costs are not cheap, and there are very few trams in some areas. Planning your itinerary in advance and using JRpass can save you a lot of money~ But be careful when taking it The Panda Kuroshio Kuroshio needs to reserve a seat in advance, otherwise you can only get on the bus to pay for the ticket, which is a bit expensive 🥹 The scenery in Japan is really beautiful, and I will buy JRpass next time to explore other counties and cities
great experience with this pass. Easy to redeem and covers a large area with both trains and buses included. worth a visit for those looking to experience Japan outside of the major cities.
easy to book, easy to redeem and very comfortable trip with clear sign of direction. very worth the cost with great savings. Thank you very much for the great experience.
I highly recommend this JR PASS to plan your itinerary in Nagoya, Mie, and Wakayama. This PASS can completely cover transportation to major attractions in Minami Kii, such as Ise Jingu Shrine, Kumano Kodo, Kumano Hongu Taisha Shrine, Nachi Taisha Shrine, Daimonzaka, etc. But if you want to go to other more remote scenic spots, it may not be covered. It is best to check and plan the route before using it. In addition, it is recommended that if you want to take the Rapid Triple Line, you'd better reserve a seat first. Although there are free seats, there are relatively few seats. If you don't reserve a seat, you may have to stand for a while (this PASS has 6 free seat reservations)
The pass was amazing, it was easy to use and made our trip memorable! Delivery took time because it was peak season, but still arrived within time frame.
