What to expect
This is not a sightseeing tour. Aone Farm is a small community farm in Aone, a quiet mountain village in western Sagamihara, about 70 minutes by car from JR Tachikawa Station. You join our local Japanese members for the day as part of the team.
Start with about one hour of real field work, such as harvesting vegetables, planting or picking plums, depending on the season. No experience is needed.
Then bring the harvest to the kitchen and cook lunch together. You don't just eat here, you make the meal yourself. If you like, you can also cook a dish from your home country and share it with everyone. Enjoy lunch on the tatami with the local members.
After lunch, walk our goats through the village, look out over the rice terraces, and relax in the slow pace of the Japanese countryside.
