What to expect
While many “sumo shows” in Osaka target tourists, this is not one of them. You meet real former professional wrestlers—men who trained and competed at the highest level in genuine stables under strict professional rules. What you see on the sacred dohyo is authentic sumo, not a performance. Designed by a former educator, the program is structured like a focused lesson: it opens strongly, builds understanding step by step, and keeps you engaged throughout. You leave with more than a spectacle—you gain clear insight into sumo’s 1,500-year history, its Shinto roots, the Rikishi ranking system, and daily life inside a stable. We are confident you will not regret the time or money spent here.

Reviews
we showed up late which they didn’t mind in the slightest. Very good Host and very friendly atmosphere. we were able to joke with the wrestlers and basically felt like hanging out with good friends. This is a must do event if your in Osaka.
It was truly a wonderful experience. During the first part, we enjoyed a typical homemade breakfast from a sumo stable—including “chanko,” a miso hot pot soup with chicken and vegetables, and rice balls—while listening to an explanation of sumo’s history and culture. Everything was absolutely delicious. Afterward, two former professional sumo wrestlers put on a demonstration and introduced us to various techniques. Then, when it was our turn, we were able to actually try our hand at those techniques. The demonstration looked pretty intense, so I was a little hesitant at first, but once I actually gave it a try, it turned out to be a lot of fun and a truly respectful experience. The atmosphere was both fascinating and playful, yet I could also sense the seriousness and dedication they have for this sport. To gain a deeper understanding of this aspect of the culture, I highly recommend for everyone the plan that includes breakfast! Not just things to do but must do in Osaka.
I was over 10 minutes late because I took the wrong train, and I honestly felt bad about it. But when I arrived, they welcomed me so warmly and made me feel comfortable right away. I ended up being the only guest since the others had to cancel, so I got to enjoy the whole experience by myself. The breakfast was simple but really nice, and I never felt rushed at all. The host and sumo wrestlers were super friendly and welcoming. They taught me some basic routines and techniques, and I even got to try wrestling with them! It was such a fun and unique experience, and I learned a lot about sumo and its importance in Japanese culture. I’d definitely come back again with friends or family!
