Nara: Ueda Sake Brewery Tour and Tasting

Step into the quiet world of Ueda Sake Brewery in Nara, where centuries of brewing heritage and craftsmanship come together. This exclusive experience offers rare access to a working brewery normally closed to the public.

Explore the brewery and learn how rice preparation, koji cultivation, fermentation, and temperature control shape the aroma, texture, and balance of sake. Thanks to a special collaboration, you may also see brewing tools and areas rarely shown to visitors.

The experience concludes with a curated sake tasting. Sample selected brews while discovering how rice polishing and brewing techniques influence each flavor.

More than a brewery tour, this is an intimate opportunity to experience sake as a cultural expression rooted in Nara’s history, traditions, and craftsmanship.
