Today, my son and I were lucky enough to have a private tour. Even so, Izumo-san enthusiastically introduced the itinerary and shared many Japanese delicacies and attractions along the way. The sushi experience was also very interesting. It was truly a satisfying and relaxing trip!

We had a fantastic time on our tour of Katsuo-Ji temple! Our driver was punctual and friendly, and although he did not speak much English, we were still able to communicate through translate apps. The car felt like luxury! Katsuo-ji temple was stunning up in the mountains, and the daruma dolls were pretty special! Our day was pretty rainy, but we still enjoyed it, and it would be even more stunning on a clear day. The sushimi making class afterwards was also great, and our kids loved it! Our youngest was having trouble making the sushimi, so the chef teaching us made him some maki sushi rolls, which our son loved!

While in Japan I visited many many temples. I would say this temple was the most unique and beautiful one. I loved the site, the grounds, the arquitecture, the dharuma dolls spread all over the temple and their contrast against nature, the stamp hunt, the view at the top, and the snacks! The sushi making experience was so fun! Very solid experience to spend an afternoon.
