- The boats at Lake Melissani are 12-person rowboats with a rower and passengers might encounter crowds when boarding during peak season in July and August
- The boat ride lasts around 10–15 minutes including entry into the cave and the duration may vary depending on the number of visitors waiting in line
- To preserve the natural environment and protect the site, swimming in the lake is not allowed for visitors
- Drivers will wait no longer than 5 minutes after the scheduled pick-up time
- The bus will have a sign of the operator's company logo
