Show was awesome. He explained everything clearly and concisely, answered all my questions, and was happy to share his tips for navigating Tokyo. I would highly recommend doing this class within your first couple of days in Japan, as it really helps you get your bearings and feel confident getting around.
My husband and I ended up having a private lesson, and Casey was so wonderful! I came in with a higher understanding of Japanese than my husband, but Casey was able to teach both of us new things at a casual pace :) Thanks so much again!
It felt a little pricey, but the explanation was very kind and easy to understand, which was great. I was just accompanying someone, but I think they enjoyed it. More than anything, it was very educational.
I booked a language session for my son and me during our Tokyo trip, and Sho delivered far beyond what I hoped for. He tailored the class perfectly to our needs, focusing on easy, everyday phrases for real-life situations like ordering food, navigating trains, and shopping. What stood out most was his clear breakdown of classroom Japanese vs. natural street terminology—super practical and immediately useful on our travels. Sho was engaging, patient, and flexible; when we steered into questions about study abroad programs in Japan and insider tourist tips & tricks (like hidden gems and etiquette hacks), he dove right in with thoughtful, detailed advice that enriched our entire trip. Sho made learning fun and relevant for a father-son duo. If you're visiting Japan or planning to, don't miss his classes—it's the best way to start things off right, so make it your first stop
They taught us the basics as well as etiquette, and also tailored the lessons to our personal wishes regarding what to watch out for or which expressions we could easily use in daily life.
