[Asahiyama Zoo] Who says that most animals in the zoo are closed to visitors and hibernate in winter? There is also a lot of fun to be had visiting Asahiyama Zoo in Hokkaido on a snowy day! Cute penguins walk together in the snow, clumsy raccoons climb overhead and make faces, curious seals shuttle up and down in glass columns, playing and circling, and monkey groups snuggle together to keep warm. [Forest Elf Terrace] Ningle Terrace in Furano is a forest handmade experience workshop built with inspiration from a character in the novel by Japanese writer So Kuramoto (to be precise, a small elf about 15cm tall living in a large forest). The log cabins here are small shops, selling unique small commodities, basically all handmade, such as glass crafts, paper crafts, hand-painted paintings, and crafts made of dried lavender from Furano. Each small shop is small and exquisite, and all things are only available here and there will be no next store.
