I recently took the China Snow Town & Erlanghe River Rafting 1-day tour. It was a private tour for just the three of us in my family, so it was relaxing, comfortable, and a very satisfying itinerary. We were picked up at Abuli West Railway Station, and the atmosphere was great because it wasn't a group tour, so we could talk freely as we went. Our guide, Mr. Xia, was kind and calmly provided information, and he carefully explained the safety rules before the experience, so we were able to participate with peace of mind. Erlanghe River rafting was a special winter experience, passing through snow-covered rivers and forests. Rafting in the snowy scenery was more thrilling than I thought, and the white expanse of scenery was impressive. I liked that we were only with our family, so we could take plenty of photos and enjoy it at our leisure. We also chose to experience paid activities such as horse sledding, ice slides, reindeer experience, and snow tank, which were fun and unique experiences. Snow Town felt a bit commercial, but the snow-covered village scenery was beautiful. Overall, it was a day where we could safely and comfortably enjoy winter. We joined the Snow Town & Erlanghe Rafting tour as a family of three, and it felt private and comfortable. Mr. Xia was professional and attentive, ensuring everything was safe and organized. The snowy rafting scenery was beautiful and unique, and the optional activities added extra fun. Although Snow Town felt slightly commercialized, the winter landscape was still stunning and memorable.
We suggest the full activities itinerary if the start time is 8:30AM. We originally booked the itinerary that included only Erlang river rafting and Snow Town. However, upon arrival, driver suggested other activities otherwise we would spend too much time at Snow Town, about 6h just for night view, the highlight of Snow Town. So we paid an additional 298 yuan per person for the Datudingzi mountain due to the last-minute addition to the itinerary. It is cheaper to book the full itinerary directly from Klook. Otherwise, I would suggest starting at a later time so that you don't spend too much time at Snow Town or you can do other activities like skiing. Driver was nice and friendly, used translation apps as we were non-Mandarin speakers. Same with the receptionist who helped us with the booking details before the driver was assigned. suggest keeping your return train ticket to Harbin City flexible. We arrived at the train station about 2h earlier than expected, before 7PM.
Amazing destination, unforgettable memories, superb service. Admin was super responsive, and I mean lightning-fast responses! The driver was very kind, knowledgeable, and passionate. Dont hesitate to book and communicate any request to them bcs they will go miles to accomodate!

- Outdoor temperature in Northeast winter is around -20°C, and indoor temperature is +25°C, with a large temperature difference!! Clothing principle: quick-drying and sweat-proof close-fitting clothes, warm coats that can be layered, and single-layer clothes that are not embarrassing when hot. Outerwear/outer pants/shoes should be waterproof (especially for children, who are prone to getting wet in the snow).

- Top (4-5 pieces): quick-drying shirt + German velvet underwear + sweater/sweatshirt + down vest + over-the-knee down jacket (filling volume 300g+)
- 🌈 Bottoms (3 pieces): quick-drying pants/long johns + German velvet pants/thermal pants + shell pants/ski pants (windproof, waterproof, and snow-resistant without getting your pants wet is better)
- 🌈 Shoes and socks: cotton socks/cashmere socks + heating insole (for those who are afraid of the cold) + snow boots/fleece-lined hiking shoes (one size larger than usual)
- 🌈 Accessories: fleece-lined hat + scarf + gloves (2 pairs are available, one pair of waterproof gloves for playing in the snow, and one pair of fleece-lined touch screen gloves for viewing mobile phones) + earmuffs + thick mask (not disposable~windproof)
- 🌈 Electronic equipment: mobile phones, cameras, power banks, etc., which are prone to low-temperature shutdown during long-term outdoor activities, can be installed in close-fitting pockets
- 🌈 Skin care products: toiletries, sunscreen, moisturizer, sunglasses (the snow reflects strongly and is dazzling on sunny days, the ultraviolet rays are strong, and the indoor heating is dry, so do a good job of sun protection and moisturizing)
- 🌈 Others: commonly used medicines + snacks + ID card/small amount of cash + warm baby (savior for southerners) + thermos cup (drink hot water & splash water into ice)
- 🌈 Skiing Tips: Skiing is a high-risk sports activity, so please be sure to pay attention to personal safety. Skiing includes internet-famous snow suits + helmets + ski goggles + skis + ski boots + ski poles. Yabuli Ski Resort has professional ski instructors who can be hired at your own expense. The price of hiring a coach is subject to the announcement of the scenic spot.
