  • 【Immersive Reproduction of 87 Years of History】 The ship retains classic elements such as the wooden seats and retro whistles of the old ferry. The design of the open-air deck on the second floor continues the tradition of Chongqing people "enjoying the river breeze and chatting", and boarding the ship instantly feels like traveling back to the heyday of the ferry. The elders can relive their memories, and the young people can feel the "Old Chongqing Romance".
  • 【Transportation and Sightseeing in One】 It takes more than 1 hour to detour by land from Hongyadong to Danzishi Old Street, while the Two Rivers Ferry takes 15 minutes to directly reach it. It is a 5-minute walk from the disembarkation to Changjiahui Shopping Park and Danzishi Old Street, which not only saves commuting time, but also saves the expense of purchasing sightseeing tickets separately, which is perfectly suitable for "efficient check-in" needs.
  • 【Seamless Connection between Wharf Transportation】 Hongyadong Wharf is close to Xiaoshizi Station of Rail Transit Lines 1 and 6, only 600 meters away on foot; Danzishi Wharf is close to Danzishi Station of the Ring Line and many bus stops. Whether you take public transportation to or continue to visit after landing, you don’t need to transfer to a taxi to realize "zero transfer of water and land transportation".
  • 【15-minute Express Route】 Direct access to Hongyadong↔Danzishi, unlocking the magical triple shot of "stilt houses + bridge + Grand Theatre", and visiting Danzishi Old Street immediately after getting off the boat, suitable for parent-child families and first-time visitors to Chongqing who want to check in quickly and are afraid of seasickness.

  • 🛶 Route Information Currently fixed routes: Hongyadong to Jiangbeizui to Danzishi (one-way) Danzishi to Jiangbeizui to Hongyadong (one-way) (Yemiaoxi Station is temporarily closed due to the construction of Nanbin Road) The route connects three major landmarks: Hongyadong Diaojiaolou, Jiangbeizui Grand Theater, and Danzishi Old Street. It passes through the confluence of the two rivers, allowing you to simultaneously admire the Qiansimen Bridge and the skyline of the Yuzhong Peninsula.
  • ⏰ Schedule Opening hours: Hongyadong Pier/Danzishi Pier 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (specific departures are subject to the pier’s daily schedule) Danzishi Pier departure times: 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 3:00 PM, 5:30 PM Hongyadong Pier departure times: 9:30 AM, 11:00 AM, 3:00 PM, 6:00 PM Journey: The entire journey is approximately 2 kilometers, with a sailing time of about 15 minutes. It efficiently connects the three core areas of Yuzhong, Jiangbei, and Nan’an, earning it the reputation of the mountain city’s “water shortcut.”
  • ✨ Highlights As a benchmark for Chongqing’s ferry transformation, the route carries nearly 90 years of the mountain city’s cross-river memory. With its dual attributes of “nostalgic experience + practical transportation,” it redefines the way people travel across the river in the mountain city. During the pandemic, it saw counter-trend growth, with annual passenger volume rising from over 200,000 in 2019 to nearly 1 million in 2024, becoming a popular water travel icon in Chongqing. The boats feature a double-deck design, with comfortable wooden seating on the first floor for relaxation and an open-air deck on the second floor for excellent views. The river breeze caresses your face as you take in the magnificent scenery of the two rivers, perfectly interpreting the unique experience of “crossing the river like a Chongqing local.” The route offers a unique water perspective, avoiding ground obstructions, making it easy to capture cover-worthy photos of Chongqing. The buildings and bridges along the way flow with the river waves, offering a new stunning view at every step.
Sunset at Danzishi, the river and sky share the beautiful rosy clouds, a small ferry leisurely passes by, and the shadows of seagulls dance among the reeds.

It is a vivid replica of the old Chongqing memory, a cost-effective shortcut for sightseeing, and a rare "slow down" moment in fast-paced travel.

When departing from Hongyadong, the layered wooden structure of the stilted buildings is clearly visible, and even the carved details on the window lattices can be seen.
Here, the muddy yellow of the Yangtze River collides with the emerald green of the Jialing River, with clear boundaries that slowly merge together, even making the Chongqing Grand Theatre on the shore a backdrop for this spectacle.

Review for: Hongyadong Wharf one-way ferry ticket

Voucher with the QR code provided by Klook is not the actual ferry ticket. Had to contact the Chinese agent via wechat for the ticket numerous times before the ferry departure date and also had to contact the agent on the day itself and finally only received screenshot of the ticket (QR code for boarding) about 30 minutes before the ferry departure time. Better to buy ticket on the spot at the ferry terminal (RMB15 per pax) to save the hassle.
