it was an unique and well-organized experience just outside Reykjavík. The walk through the lava tunnel is easy, with good lighting, helmets provided, and knowledgeable guides who explain the volcanic history in an engaging way. The moment when all lights are turned off for complete darkness is especially memorable. It’s a bit short (about 1 hour) and can feel slightly pricey for the length, but overall it’s a worthwhile and fascinating stop if you want to see Iceland’s volcanic landscape from the inside.
